Fire alarm needed a battery so I got to wake up nice and early. Did give me an excuse to check out our self leveling job. Not bad! I pushed around with a hand trowel while @marikajean.bsky.social manned a giant mortar mixing drill. Whole thing took us 5 bags at roughly 5m/bag

Today was clearing the work area and making sure the power tools (wet saw, mixing drill) were working. All 👍! saw less messy than expected but the tarp was still a good idea (a corner can cover the outlet to make sure it stays dry). Also gives an area for mixing mortar

If someone comes into chat and says "hey I'm having a bad day, just wrecked my car" I'm happy to give them a "wow that sucks, glad you're ok" But if someone starts monologuing about their problems, it's kind of a lot and monopolizes the chat. It's very awk for the streamer. Not a therapist!
