Not to state the obvious, but none of them were sent to a terrorist prison in El Salvador. They all had lawyers, indictment by grand jury, a trial or a guilty plea where a judge ensured it was knowing & voluntary & access to an appeals process. In other words, all the hallmarks of due process.

Commerce Sec Lutnick promised Chinese jobs "screwing in little, little screws to make iPhones” would be moved here. Treasury Sec Bessent said American dream was not cheap "flatscreens" And yet here we are: first China tariff exemptions are for iPhones & flatscreens www.cnbc.com/2025/04/12/t...

What dictators do, not presidents: “the new, striking artwork depicting Mr. Trump drew criticism from some presidential historians, who could not recall another president hanging a painting of himself during his term in the White House.” www.nytimes.com/2025/04/11/u...

Been thinking of old Letterman clips for some reason.

WTF?! These are the brown shirts doing this with our tax dollars and in our name.

Prices of goods are going to rise a lot soon. If there is something you need to buy that is produced outside the US and can be easily stored, then you should buy it. Shoes, clothes, auto parts, and China products. This assumes that firms haven’t started raising prices already or aren’t sold out.

"You were born in the long summer. You've never known anything else. But now winter is truly coming. And in the winter, we must protect ourselves, look after one another.”

Wait, the EU offered zero tariffs?! We should take that.

So, he gave someone over $200 million and lost over $100 billion, that is a really negative return on his investment, no?

If we threw tea into Boston harbor to avoid paying British levies, what seems appropriate in response to universal tariffs from Dumpster? Asking for everyone who doesn’t want to pay more in taxes.
