It's nearly time for our Spring issue - so why not subscribe to Poetry London? There is no better way to support the work we do. poetrylondon.co.uk/subscriptions/

in this four minute video clip Paul Muldoon discusses the need for poets to write from that place of unknowing to touch the place of unknowing in the reader. #unknowing #poetry www.youtube.com/watch?v=kYrJ...

I'm grateful that the latest The Seventh Quarry has two of my poems and delighted to join @kimwhysallhammond.bsky.social and @hannahl1n.bsky.social there.

@clarebryden.bsky.social Hi Clare. I write haiku too and have had several in Blithe Spirit. Do you know of the burning haibun and if so what do you think of it? I've dabbled with the form. www.poetryfoundation.org/poetrymagazi...

🌱🐦 Evolution in your garden! Teasels and Goldfinches are a perfect match, as evolution has shaped the birds’ beaks so they can reach seeds hidden in these unique plants. Let Teasels grow in your garden to witness this exciting encounter. #Winterwatch #Birds #GardenWildlife

@taniahershman.bsky.social Thanks for the workshop on Monday which was instructive, thought provoking and playful. Perhaps you would like to see my two short responses to your writing exercises?

@kimwhysallhammond.bsky.social Hi Kim, good to see you here. On Monday, I went to a @taniahershman.bsky.social workshop. We were asked to write a 'drabble' a form of writing new to me but apparently common in sci-fi/fantasy writing so I wonder if you know of it? It was fun to do.

I've created a Hybrid Writing starter pack, a place to find writers, lit mags & publishers who leap over genre boundaries & out of boxes, ignoring labels & definitions - in their own writing & in what they publish! Pass it on and let me know who else I might add! go.bsky.app/MswLLwc #UnboxYourWords

Let's make Bluesky the home of independent news. Unlike X, where algorithms crush links & push content you don't want, news flourishes here. Particularly news from independent & non-profit outlets. If you prefer news away from MSM, here's a starter pack to share with valuable & verified accounts.

Good morning! I've begun a starter pack for prose poets. go.bsky.app/EdpM3cb Please share.

John Cage, master of the bon mot: ‘I can’t understand why people are frightened of new ideas. I’m frightened of the old ones.’

so funny

Seeing this encouraged me to tot up the figures on my own spreadsheet (makes me sound organised, but I’m really not lol… ) I submitted poems to 36 places this year. 9 acceptances, 20 rejections (3 personalised replies/longlisted) and 7 pending. I know it’s just numbers, interesting though!
