English isn't my first language so I need to find more gender neutral ways of referring to the love of my life other than "partner". They aren't very online so I want to respect their privacy while also being very gay for them on social media.

I think part of the art school experience, regardless of your country, is realizing how absolutely stupid and out of touch most of the educators are. Like, it's still worth it (especially here in Brazil where education is free), but you will hear a lot of bad takes from the older teachers.

I go to an art school that is focused exclusively on the gallery circuit, so today, during class, a teacher said illustrators are considered the prostitutes of art because they do it for the money. Real artists do it for the love of it. I find this view to be misguided in a very interesting way.
