Ubel Blatt is another dark fantasy series in recent years that doesn't get how dark fantasy works. It has a twist in its story that almost makes it work, but so many dark fantasy anime try too hard these days and the result is dull. Also, you can't be dark fantasy when your lead has tiny shorts.
