Most patients don’t form their beliefs through reason, so trying to change them with reason alone won’t work. Our limbic system is too dominant. Real change comes from engaging emotionally. It’s why the most effective clinicians are usually the ones best at building rapport.

Always worth reading the great papers from the past. The simple Cloward referral patterns are often overlooked. Instead patients are often told that 'their ribs are out of place'. 🤔
