It's worth flagging that to my understanding, the CURRENT LAW means that "single party consent" DOES NOT APPLY if a reasonable person would find the context unacceptable. There was legal support for the cops to go after this. We are left to speculate as to why they didn't. #nzpol

Yeah this headline should have been - "Sex workers catch sex pest red-handed, but police refuse to charge" The audio recordings may not have been technically illegal, but stalking people inside their homes certainly is. Appalling the police haven't charged this.
