I’m three sessions into running Feng Shui. Still not sure how I feel about the system. The book is cleverly written and full of fun references and jokes. Well worth getting for that alone. 🧵

Res Arcana, every turn it feels like you are desperately trying to balance a stack of everything you want to do while wearing roller skates. A really enjoyable game.

Space Base is always a fun time. I had a good engine going, but lost in the end. I like this game a lot.

I think I’ve played Cat in the Box a couple of times, but today was the first time with the correct rules. Good fun!

Reminder that I made a free tutorial on making a Roll20 character sheet. You can also hire me to make one for ya! blog.alexrinehart.net/tutorials/ro...

Ran a session of my rpg of sky pirates and floating islands 'Corsairs' tonight. They characters managed to track the imperial spy to his fast ship and avoid the ambush that was waiting for them. Great fun. Will see how the next session goes!

Played My First Stone Age with my daughter. A solid little game, she enjoys it a lot!

Played Ecosystems with my daughter. I like this game, simple drafting and card placement, but fun to think about and plenty of choices to make.

Played our first session of Feng Shui last night. Got a few things wrong or missed, but we muddled through. Confident next session will flow much better! Was good fun!

Planning to run some Feng Shui soon. Lots of fun to read, I'm sure it will be to play as well!

Forest Shuffle. First game and I did OK. I really enjoyed this. A good mix of systems I'm sure I'll improve at in future plays.

Terra Mystica today, I played terribly, but it enjoyed it nonetheless. Great game I haven't played in years!

Reminding folks that I'm looking for jobs!

I'm getting close to the point where I think I'll delete a majority of the discords I'm part of. I don't like unread notifications, and I don't read a majority of discords I get notifications for... Seems like a logical choice. Many are groups I want to engage with, just don't have the energy...

Ran Corsairs tonight, lots of intrigue and truths revealed. The characters have every right to feel the weight of empire stacked against them. What will a lone sky ship of Corsairs do with the enemies arrayed aginast them...

Ran Death In Space last night, not sure I am a fan of systems stacked against player success. I get the narrative intention, but I am not sure it's for me. Time, and further games will tell. I like the setting!

With Every Fibre is on sale at Indie Press Revolution! Thanks @ipr.bsky.social Grab a copy, hell, grab five! www.indiepressrevolution.com/xcart/With-E...

Out camping over Easter, along with a nice camp fire I have the Murderbot Diaries, by @marthawells.com, to keep me entertained! Great fun! Loving this series!

New! Two solo journaling games from Australia: Fox Curio's Floating Bookshop The Lighthouse At The Edge Of The Universe www.indiepressrevolution.com/xcart/

Spent the day at the Gymnastics Trials today - qualifiers for the State Championships. The squad I co-coach did an awesome job putting together skills we've been drilling for months. They did well pulling things together at the right time in the season, it was great to be there!

The Australian Role-Playing Industry Awards (ARPIA) is now open for submissions!! ARPIA is a role-playing awards event setup to promote and celebrate everything great about the Australian roleplaying industry. Submit: docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1F... #ausrpg #ttrpg #ttrpgs #arpia25

Am reading Rogue Protocol from the Murderbot Diaries, by @marthawells.com - loving the dry and often sardonic humor it's fantastic set against the corporate shit fuckery of the setting. Great books!

A game of Corsairs tonight... the new leaders of the brigantine, the Nacht Darchen, made after a heavy merchant vessel, and paid a dear price for the cargo. After a night of desperate repairs, both ships are being sailed by skeleton crew toward the island of Fordwath. We shall see how it turns out!

Since I'm on the path of considering what's next for Caradoc Games, here's a survey about what games of ours you'd like to see more content for, and what sort of content that should be... docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1F...

A lengthy post exploring some ideas around where I am going with Caradoc Games, and some of things I want to do next. If you're a creator, perhaps you are struggling with some similar ideas. If you have any solutions let me know! open.substack.com/pub/caradocp...

Played Furnace: a really enjoyable engine building game, not a huge fan of the two-player version, but a great game nonetheless.

Alleyways & Trails is a new booklet containing 5 adventure seeds for With Every Fibre! If you have a copy of The Caves Beneath Us, you can find Alleyways & Trails on the game pages on DriveThruRPG and Itch. These adventure seeds were brought to you by the "and a 10' pole" level backers! Thank you!

This is so cool!

NEW FOR THIS MONTH: Ganymede Outriders by @caradoc.bsky.social 🏎️ A complete sci-fi racing RPG in a lil A6 book. Build your Buggy, assemble your crew, and take to The Frost, using your skills and your cool car to lend a hand wherever you're needed. Your car even gains experience like a character!

Played our third session of Agon by @johnharper.bsky.social tonight. Great fun. I am seriously enjoying the way the theme is carried through the mechanics. Really enjoyable game!

After many years of staying away, today I am putting together some Necromunda models... Ash Waste Nomads for the win! Am waiting for the weapons pack before finishing them.

Finished the drawing for the cover for the next With Every Fibre supplement - a collection of adventure outlines for backers of The Caves Beneath Us brought to you by the "and a 10ft' pole" level backers.

Played Dinosaur Island Rawr and Write, interesting roll and write game. I was terrible at planning out the park, but the game play was quite good. Looking forward to playing again!

Played a game of 7 Wonders Duel. Really quite like this two player version of 7 Wonders. Solid game. I lost horribly!

Played a game of 3 Chapters the other day, not a bad little trick taking style of game. Lots of fun little twists.

Did a flip last night, messy, but I made the rotation and landing: happy with that!
