This is quite true for me. Like I have a playlist made up of Metallica, Iron Maiden, Frank Iero, and Black Sabbath. (So very much Metallica…lol) That’ll calm me down far more easily than classical or New Age music. (Which, tbh, New Age type music seems to make my brain feel weird. 😬)

I’m headed towards Phase 2 of my consideration for epilepsy surgery. 😐 I’m getting another ambulatory EEG done at the end of the month, then I’m going to discuss those results and the potential next steps with my doctor in February. If I do end up getting the brain worked on, I’m getting this.

I’ve taken the public bus to an emergency room for a severe asthma attack. Several years ago, I took an Uber to the emergency room because of a serious meniscus tear in my knee. And two years I took an Uber to the emergency room, with cellulitis and the beginnings of a staph infection.

I have to remember this with my epilepsy - I tend to see my seizures as going back to the start of that “6 months clear” goal. (6 months seizure free is required to get a driver’s license - regardless, I don’t drive.)

This is such a shame. And for people who think their kids would be safer in a religious school….yeah, maybe not. We really do need to do something about the rampant gun culture. Something being offering “thoughts and prayers”
