For those of you who don't live in a red state and don't know how that works, a quick thread: Some folks here in Nebraska tried to get a referendum on the ballot for medical marijuana. There are a whole bunch of requirements to get on the ballot, including the referendum being on a single issue.

The way I’d put it is…a not insignificant portion of the internet—and the world, I guess—defines themselves not by the things they do and love, but their opposition to others. When you take that away, they’re bereft of purpose.
