Migrant Insider now gets around 95,000 views per month. It's read and shared by key White House aides, committee chairmen in Congress, hundreds of the nation's top immigration lawyers, and most importantly: thousands of migrants and their allies across over 70 countries — a great start!!

At the time, everyone, including Republicans, understood how bad it was. Then, brick by brick, they built a foundation of lies to justify doing what they know, deep down, to be wrong. Trump betrayed the country. And so do they.

No, they're not caught between anything. Stop it. The fact that AI may be used or useful in future jobs does not create a single dilemma at all for college students in how to actually complete their coursework. This is all nonsense & excuses for not doing the reading & learning how to think & write.

J6 at night, I thought Trump was done. Maybe the 25th amendment would be invoked before Jan. 20 or a fast-track impeachment. I thought McConnell and others would welcome the opportunity to take revenge after suffering his idiocy for 4 years, and do the country a favor. An acute case of WestWingism

60% of fresh fruit and 40% of vegetables consumed in the 🇺🇸 come from abroad. 51% and 90% of those respectively come from 🇲🇽 or 🇨🇦. And still Mexico exports to the US x12 more in cars and auto parts than in fresh produce. This is plain dumb policy

The Washington Post EB says international courts are for poor countries, really

In politics clarity is its own opportunity. The storm of the 2024 election has created great clarity. The richest man in the world, Elon Musk, and 3rd richest man in the world, Jeff Bezos, are currently asking a group of Trump judges to end the right to organize & join a union in the United States.

T. Roosevelt on #BigTech (1903) “Great corporations exist only because they are created and safeguarded by our institutions" and it's “our right and our duty to see that they work in harmony with these institutions" cause "certain of their features and tendencies are hurtful to the general welfare”

Engoron ordered Trump, Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump, along with other officers, to pay over $360 million. Trump himself is banned from running any corporation in New York for three years; his sons are banned for two.

The cruelty is the point, again

Ku Klux Klan, 1923: Immigrants are a threat to the "heart-blood of the nation" Trump, 2023: Immigrants are a threat to the "blood of the country." Totally different!

My god. This is Rudy's own lawyer closing.

This is true but also: elected officials excel at individual self-preservation and sometimes that gets in the way of broader party gains

The incentive to give out As and keep it moving is so strong - and when you go against that students are not only mad, they are oftentimes baffled because they’ve not been given much real feedback on their writing or analysis before.

I went back to the old place for a moment. I saw that ADL is being accused by blue-checks of being "the biggest creator of antisemitism" because apparently its efforts to fight antisemitism provoke antisemitism. Elon dystopia is getting more surreal by the day

🧪 Once-homeless, Ray thrived after a $7,500 grant from a UBC study. Those polled about the study thought grant recipients would increase their drug and alcohol spending. Recipients spent wisely on essentials, debunking poverty stereotypes.

Coming from a company that started on search, how is it even possible that Gmail search is so useless?

I hate to agree with Matt Yglesias but

Worth remembering that in 2009 Obama's DHS produced a report about the growing threat of right-wing extremism. When the report leaked, GOP went crazy. DHS apologized and disavowed it. In the years since, we've seen an insurrection and multiple mass shootings targeting minorities.

This was hilarious
