Right! Having finished the Túrin lectures and (mostly) caught up on all the critical administrivia that I'd ignored while finishing them, it's time to return to things like my guitar homework! 🎸 (Only 12 out of 14 days late .... 😳 But I'm good to go, now! 😅👍)

I’ve decided to stick to being annoyed by the small, unimportant things. Like discovering the local hardware stores don’t have the specific nuts and bolts I need and grumblingly ordering (and waiting for) the right ones from overseas. 🔩

I declare the Túrin/Oedipus/Sigurðr/Kullervo lectures done. They’ve taken up most of the “free time” 😅 in my last 4 months, and have generated some 40-50k words of lecture scripts — so, probably the equivalent of a few drafts of an MA thesis, even though there’s no unifying argument or anything. 😅

Spoken video segments for the final #turinturambar course lecture on #kullervo are recorded! They run a little long — there’s so much to say about Kullervo! — but perhaps I can crunch things down a little in the editing process tomorrow. 😅

Deep in scriptwriting for the final #turinturambar course lecture — somehow an excuse to order books on both Finnish folk poetry and L. Sprague de Camp. Neither could possibly make it to South America before I finish recording the lecture … but bibliography is an unforgiving dominatrix. 😆

I really should have bought a new external SSD drive for video recording/editing *before* I started doing the lectures for the Túrin course. The old one keeps overheating and crashing out, which does not aid the process. 🙄 I have now ordered a new drive, but … barn doors, horses …. 😅🤷‍♂️

The script for the video lecture on Sigurðr and #turinturambar for the #signumuniversity course is done; I’ll wait until “the still of the night” to try recording it. There’s still the lecture on #kullervo to finish preparing (and recording!), though I also need to do my guitar homework! 😅

#newpedalday! The #catalinbread Skewer is clearly aimed at Richie Blackmore fans, though I got it to feed my #martinbarre tonal fantasies. 😎 Like the original Hornby Skewes treble booster, it’s picky about placement and super noisy! 😅 might drop a noise gate pedal behind it.

I am counting the first video lecture for the #turinturambar course for #signumuniversity as done! But I’ll soon need a new computer soon: iMovie crashed out twice just trying to render the video. 😅 Still need to finish drafting and recording the *others*, but …. One has to think optimistically. 😁

I made an initial pass at recording the “me talking” video segments for the first video lecture in the imminent “Túrin’s Bones” course in the SPACE program of #signumuniversity … Tomorrow, I’ll stick all the chunks together and see if they come out to about the right length. 😅
