Pretty combination of seaweeds washed up this morning.

Just the perfect line. Sometimes nature is so exact.

Hello Merida, Yucatan. Always nice for a quick visit then I start to miss the sea. That's like a need rooted deep in my soul.

Good morning everyone on Bluesky!

Storm coming.

Every morning when I walk the beach I find this lady stranded in the sand. I have never seen the person who makes this, so I imagine they must come out very early to do it. It's carefully done and whoever the sand sculptor is, I thank them for making me smile.

Ahhh...now this is better! Happy Friday everyone!

No one's going out today with this wind. We've got the sun back though and it's a lot warmer so I'm happy!

I've always loved Maxfield Parrish paintings because of they're so colourful - in fact this particular one is relatively drab compared to so many of his - and his clouds are great!

Another quiet blue/grey day. All pastel shades. Very peaceful but a bit chilly for those of us who live here. No swimming for me today.

Yesterday evening. I like the different layers and lights in this one.

Nice, evening cumulus cloud. At least, I think this is called a cumulus but I'm no expert. I just like the way the light shines on the side of it. It gets prettier as the sun sets.

Things I never tire of: looking at the sea and the sky. They both change from one minute to the next and are always beautiful in different ways.

I love the moon shining at any time of year but it really is magical when shining on a snowy scene through the trees. Artwork by Carol Colette www.carolcollette.com. I believe this is a copper plate etching of a beech tree. Beautiful.

Greenwich, London with the Cutty Sark in the background. One of the last and fastest clippers bringing tea from China to London. My dad took me to see this as a small child. Even then I loved this ship with all her beautiful sails. Photo by Richard Lee Massey.

The mighty ceiba tree, sacred to the ancient Mayans. This isn't even a big one. Look at those roots.

Lovely bougainvillea. I think the purple is really my favourite though.

Good morning everyone on Bluesky.
