Guys is it woke to minimize civilian casualties in military operations?

There are moments of pride in every day.

Hey, did you know that reminding folks who are refusing to do their pap smears that you had asymptomatic aggressive cervical cancer and pap smears can save lives is 'projecting'? It's true! I'll just sit over here quietly and watch more ppl die of the most preventable cancer in existence, nbd.

All night long the motion lights on our stairs go flicker wildly* because this little man is playing his heart out with literally whatever he can find. The house is covered in cat toys, but come morning we never know what we will find scattered about. *We cannot turn them off. We have tried.

So here's what's cool about my job: Yesterday morning I said, "We really ought to have TWIN PEAKS available." So then a bunch of people scrambled, worked really hard, and now you can watch every episode of David Lynch & Mark Frost's original series for free on Pluto TV: pluto.tv/us/on-demand...

His name is Axl (he's ginger, white and a bit of a bogan* 🎸), 6-7 months old, and he'll be up for adoption in Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland once he's ready for his forever home. We're taking things at his pace. He's lived a lot already in his few months of life. 💕 🍊 💕 *said with love, so are we

27 Nov: The first day we saw him, I almost hit him in the parking lot, and we ran to the nearest shop to feed him a mountain of kitten food. 3 Dec: The day we trapped him and took him in. 17 Jan: The first day he willingly let me give him scritches. 7wks, 2 days. Fostering is worth it, y'all.

Why is it that when I'm sleepy, I forget my hair is grey? It's been fully grey for a solid 3yrs now, but if I'm waking up or going to sleep and I start playing with it and then actually look at what I'm playing with, I'm startled every time. C'mon brain. Make the switch.

I regularly share a bed with two, three, and sometimes four large men. Only one of them is human, but it still feels unfair, you know? A couple of them even insist on sleeping ON TOP of me. The audacity.

Got them Kiwi Summer pōhut-and-blue-sky vibes.

Oh. Great.

Very much tracks with my own experience. My main ones are compression shapewear that I can tuck under my bra band. Having my full torso squeezed is the best. Just high-waisted shorts and compression socks (with the socks cut mid-foot as a concession to summer) work beautifully. Yay science!

This is not wishful or optimistic thinking on my part because I think a U.S. with a lot more violent insurgency is going to be a bloody nightmare that will harm a lot of people who aren’t rich or powerful.

Related to the conversation about the CEO’s assassination, I posted this just ten days ago. Again, I’m not justifying violence but reminding folks that, historically speaking, businessmen and billionaires who screw over ordinary people wind up reaping the whirlwind.

This is a tragedy unfolding. We have failed these young people again. The boot camps were never going to work, it was just a matter of time before it would be revealed just how & just how bad things would be. Needless loss. #nzpol #kikorangi www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/politics/...

All jokes aside it's really fucked up to see so many people on here celebrating murder. No one here is the judge of who deserves to live or die. That's the job of the AI algorithm the insurance company designed to maximise profits on your health and no one else

Remember folks: if you're cold, they're cold. Let them inside.

We currently have a grumpy lil guest who was living as a stray in a busy parking lot. He's only about 5-6mo old, and seemingly healthy beyond being very skinny and scared, but we're going to get him fixed and chipped and see if we can't get him to come around to the idea of people. Worth a shot. ❤️

Get you a dude who will see a sheep itching its butt on a fence on the side of the road while stopped in traffic and do voices with you about it. ❤️

Less than two weeks ago, New Zealand signed up to the Coalition on Phasing Out Fossil Fuel Incentives Including Subsidies at #COP29. Now the New Zealand Government is looking to Phase In Fossil Fuel Incentives.

My Girl Cross Stitch is up for auction. Size is 78 x 77 cm. 8-9 months of stitching, average 3-4 hours a day. I need to sell her for as much as possible to help my family financially. Much smaller piece sold for $750. www.trademe.co.nz/marketplace/... Please Share. 🫶💗 #CrossStitch #Kikorangi

I bring a "idk what I'm doing" type of vibe to the timeline

My Dad was in charge of all the tech in the Stanford University libraries when they negotiated the a computer lab of these bad boys a few years after their initial release. They kept one in storage in case of breakdowns; our house was 'storage'. My printed digital drawings were regularly shown off.
