Cruz wants to cancel 20 NSF grants awarded to Cornell b/c they are "woke", by which he means they study marginalized populations or include them in activities. Largest by far ($9M) is infrastructure grant to improve science ed in rural NY -- so, mostly low-income white kids whose parents voted GOP.
