Just when I thought the day couldn't get any better the Ross's Gull was reported again from South Shields. After a quick dash I was lucky enough to get views of this stunning bird. Thanks to finder Mark and John who relocated that day. Lifer no. 2!

The Fantastic Grey headed Lapwing at East Chevington week before last. Lucky to have such close flight views though numb fingers and thick gloves hindered changing my camera settings in time. Many thanks to finder and others posting whereabouts

Could not drive South without calling in at East Chevington for only my second ever views of the gorgeous Grey headed Lapwing. No heat haze this time and showed very nicely.
