However it tries to spin it, we all know that Labour is in power but Reform is dictating policy.

I express the sympathy and solidarity of Scotland to the people of Canada on the terrible attack in Vancouver. I hope for the safety and recovery of all affected. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 🇨🇦

With Christianity being a Middle Eastern religion will the Catholic Church elect its first Middle Eastern leader for 1300years.

Did you know that since Scotland was promised 'more powers' if we voted No to independence in 2014, Westminster has actually stripped more than two dozen key powers from Holyrood and overruled devolved decisions made by the Scottish Government 13 times.

NEW: Thousands of people have turned out to a pro-independence march in Wales 👇 📸 YesCymru

NEW: The SNP have won a council by-election, holding the seat with more than double the Labour vote 👇

"We’re very willing to do what we can on the U.K. side to make it easier for U.S. businesses to sell their goods in the U.K." In anybody's language that could be capitulation so, coming from Reeves, it probably is.

Brilliant remark from James O’Brian. The whole world order is changing and our politicians are worrying about gender neutral toilets.

newsnationnow.com/health/fda-m... "Earlier this month, the FDA also suspended programs that ensured accurate testing for bird flu in milk and cheese and pathogens like the parasite Cyclospora in other food products" We don't want a trade deal that involves any of this stuff !!

skwawkbox.org/2025/04/16/m... Size matters when it come to doing the right thing.

Earth to Starmer… we don’t want nor need Trump anywhere near Scotland thank you very much.

"If the Scottish people are going to better off economically and so on*, I would be against breaking away from the Union**." * in every other way imaginable. ** because I personally would be worse off, due to no longer getting bribe money for selling out my country, plus my seat in the Lords.

What a shame it's thick cloud, raining and daylight.

The UK claims to be assessing Israel's compliance with international law, but still only refers to "possible breaches" on aid and torture. And airstrikes killing civilians don't seem to trouble Whitehall's legal assessment at all. #DCUKparliament

Any tents up outside Frank McAveety’s house? Are the locusts standing outside? Nope didn’t think so.

www.middleeasteye.net/news/israel-... Why is this person coming to the UK and who is he meeting with. Judging by his history we have nothing in common with any of his views or opinions.

I hate the word Brit. Never been one and no desire to ever be one.

More vacuous than Outer Space

Can't disagree with that. We have seen to date Westminster is unwilling to do this outside the interests of England. That leaves us with independence and to understand we need our own currency from the get go to do this. Then the political will for targeted investment leading to a well being economy

Behind a paywall but caught a glimpse somewhere else that 'it's an 11 point lead 😊 Don't know which pollster but it's no wonder the unionists are piling on the pressure.

www.salon.com/2025/04/12/a... Thus is a fine wheeze. Declare the border a military installation then detain, and, subsequently, expel refugees for trespassing.

A full moon(shine) today. Enjoy

Reminder tomorrow night is Full Moon. 🔭 🧪

For the past 14 years we've been delivering Guardianship Scotland in partnership with @scotrefugeecouncil.bsky.social & Scot Gov. We're thrilled that this partnership will continue & we'll keep supporting unaccompanied asylum-seeking and trafficked children: www.aberlour.org.uk/news-item/ab...

All we need now is a nice breeze to get that paintwork wet.

NEW: Details of Scottish Government minister Christina McKelvie's funeral have been announced 👇

Well Miss Reeves, remind me again as to how these stocks and shares ISAs will benefit the average saver.

www.threads.net/@penguinsaga... The penguins are getting organised....

Tumshie plays carrot.

www.bbc.co.uk/news/article... While everyone's looking at something else the killing still goes on in Gaza.

The UK answer to tariffs. Charlie and his burd could send this picture, to Trump, as a reminder of better days to come.

Can anyone explain to me why killing Ambulance, Aid workers then burying their vehicles in sand is acceptable? I have said all along Israel is being run by an absolute manic who should be captured & tried for war crimes along with every IDF enlisted soldier. www.youtube.com/watch?v=SZKH...

The decision by the US tonight to impose 20% tariffs on imports from across the European Union is deeply regrettable. I strongly believe that tariffs benefit no one. My priority, and that of the government, is to protect Irish jobs and the Irish economy.

After surviving hard frosts the Camilla is in full flower.

Scottish Government minister Christina McKelvie was “surrounded by love” when she died, her partner and fellow MSP Keith Brown has said The SNP depute leader paid an emotional tribute to McKelvie as MSPs gathered in Holyrood to pass a motion of condolence

Alan Sugar on #lbc talking about the possible effects of tariffs on English cars and other English exports. I was only away for an hour and Scotland seems to have left the planet.

Trump will now be feeling like the most important person on the planet. Everyone waiting to hear what he has to say. He, of course, has no idea what he is going to say either, until 30 minutes before the announcement.

NEW: The UK Government has admitted that it has footage from a RAF spy plane that was flying over Gaza as a group of aid workers were killed by Israeli military

THE UK has the highest energy prices in Europe, and Scotland has the highest energy prices in the UK. Yet Scotland produces far more energy than it can use itself. So, with #ScottishIndependence our bills would be next to nothing. Or actually nothing.⚡🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

www.bbc.co.uk/news/article... Come on Anas Sarwar, just tell us if you think the First Minister of Wales is taking the right stand here.

Wait, so if Wales produce more electricity than what they use, and Scotland definitely does, then who's using it all? 🤔

The UK won't need a 'Buy British' simply because it will cave in to Trumps demands and concede on Big Tech, agriculture and anything else it can think of to gain a victory of having the tariffs lifted or at least lessened. A pseudo trade deal, however, will be a one sided affair.

Thanks for this. We were on that march. It was a sunny, friendly but serious day.
