I almost burned down my studio flat today. I bought this electric hotpot when my hob broke. The hob’s been fixed, & I accidentally knocked it on when cleaning my kitchenette. I could smell burning plastic but didn’t know where it was coming from until it was too late. I’ve inhaled a lot of fumes

I taught English as an additional language at a school in the UK for 6 years. Many of my students were refugees. Some came to the UK as unaccompanied minors and risked their lives to get here. I’m appalled by Labour’s anti-immigration stance. This isn’t what the people voted for
