The paradox of narcissism is that it can get an individual to the powerful position they desire BUT it becomes a liability once there. To remain there successfully requires accountability, empathy and responsibility. So the tools of intimidation and fear must be deployed to protect the position.

Even though it is the bare minimum, it still really matters that Poilievre immediately accepted the results, was classy on defeat and pushed back on boos against Carney and talked about uniting the country. It’s sad that we can’t take this for granted anymore, but I truly appreciate him doing that.
