Just some local political junkie who made this account to shout my frustrations into the void. I am also loudly transgender.

Our police chief should be subject to vetting and scrutiny to assure we get someone who carries out the job ethically and responsibly. If he wasn’t okay with that, then it is what it is. I agree with Councilperson Coghill here.

www.youtube.com/watch?v=jxTU... For a mayor that is supposed to be so progressive about policing, he sure does seem upset about having a vetting process and community input for our police chief. Pittsburgh: Ed Gainey is only progressive when it benefits him, and it does not benefit him here.

Any other transgender folk notice they’ve started getting clocked by TSA again? It stopped for a while and I heard there was a policy change that stopped it, but it’s happened several times in a row to me more recently.

My hope for transit oriented development in Pittsburgh down the line is that they come up with a plan to broadly upzone around transit rather than targeting it to specific places. In fact, maybe we should just upzone *everywhere* but people aren’t ready for my radical urbanist ambitions 😤

I’m so politics brained at this point that I saw someone say they got tickets to ACDC and wondered why anyone would ever want tickets to the Allegheny County Democratic Committee

Our country is less safe and has less friends because Trump is a wannabe dictator cozying up to global tyrants like Putin and Bibi. Someone remind him that you don't get to claim to love America while making decisions that threaten our security.

The Pittsburgh department of city planning is no longer pursuing transit oriented development zoning amendments. It was certainly not the best implementation it could’ve been, but it is a shame this has been fumbled so badly along with being attached to a poorly thought out IZ proposal

If the Pittsburgh mayoral race isn’t going the way you want it to, look at it this way: at least we don’t have to deal with Andrew Cuomo over here 😌

Office to housing conversion opportunity in Pittsburgh 🤔 Quick! Somebody call Walnut Capital!

Lmao

Trump is using intimidation tactics and threats to try and stomp out protests around the country. Don’t let this stop you. EDUCATION IS THE ENEMY OF FASCISM. That’s why he wants to destroy our schools. Pittsburgh: I’ll be at Schenley Plaza on Friday and I hope you will be too!

Always get a good chuckle from articles pretending that the republican candidates are at all relevant in Pittsburgh.

I’m just going to leave this here for the zero people that see it. You know I’ll be there Pittsburgh!

Pittsburgh Mayoral Race: According to democratic campaign consultant Mike Mikus, approximately 23% of the donations for @gaineyformayor.com are from Republicans, which is a higher percentage than O’Connor. The publicly available numbers seem to back this claim up.

Thinking about the time I cried in Tequila Cowboy in Pittsburgh on my birthday because I really hated it there that much. I wasn’t even drunk yet.

triblive.com/local/gainey... Not a fan of how @gaineyformayor.com is fear-mongering over trans issues and immigration here. Nothing O’Connor has said has suggested anything of the sort and Gainey received similar donations in the past. Tired of trans people being used as a political pawn.
