Someone said the M on passports now stands for mother 😭

The public comment period for changing passports to misgender trans people is open. Please take a moment to let them know that you do not support that change.

A decade ago, I went on book tour with Sybil Lamb. We did 32 cities across the US/Canada, read with dozens of writers and met hundreds of people. So many of them are now dead. All of them are transsexuals. The oldest didn't make it to 50. I say this because I want you to live and I'm going to too.

You can stay true and not lose your empathy It's possible, I promise you

Just saw a thread about a guy calling into cspan saying his diabetic supplies increased from 5 dollars to 80 dollars and somebody in the comments, probably multiple people but I stopped reading, replied “FAFO” and I can’t stress enough how much you need to stop doing that shit

Re: my five accomplishments this week Dear manager, This week I: 1) I have eaten the plums that were in the icebox 2) and which you were probably saving for breakfast 3)Forgive me they were delicious 4) so sweet 5) and so cold Please let me let me know if you need any more information Best, Justin

haha. Back when Target was doing corporate pride, one of their vendors approached me to do a "Detransition, Baby" t-shirt. (very confusing! I said no). So now Target and I are even. But the moral of the story is that my book will be available at indie bookstores!

I get that “separate the art from the artist” is 80% a weakass excuse to protect extremely shitty humans who happen to make incredible art but I would like to submit the inverse: going to your sweetie friend’s terrible garage pop band playing at a dive bar

Gotta hand it to whoever's doing headlines at the Star

Thinking of this excellent as always piece from @rcmacleod.bsky.social , feat @caseyplett.bsky.social for good measure, again this morning. aftermath.site/kennedy-cent...

you know it’s bad when even the anarchists are calling their congresspeople

Just glancing at this headline makes me want to blaze through three packs of cigarettes www.washingtonpost.com/podcasts/pos...

Anyway everything's fine this won't affect a soul

I always used to just quietly brood a bit about how Americans had cartoon images of Canadians (incl. leftists who I'd have thought understand cartoon images of living in another nation is...unhelpful) but always figured it just a personal quirk of my life that didn't matter ANYWAY 2025 IS SOMETHING
