We are here : "We will consider anonymity when a clinical scenario is particularly important to share and learn from, or to protect an author’s safety—for example, if they are a whistleblower." Responding to fear and magical thinking in the US, a nice editorial in the @bmj.com.

Council Tax is enraging. Regressive, divorced from reality, driving the poorest into debt, hunger, hardship. Getting worse. But no political party yet had the courage to sort it. Happy Winter Solstice to all in the northern hemisphere. The turn of the year's tide, a pivot-point, a day of hope—when the dark stops rising & after which the Sun begins its slow climb back. A day I celebrate more than Christmas or New Year. Fiat lux! 📷 by @annieworsley.bsky.social

Gisèle Pelicot, post convictions, says she "never regretted" opening up the trial, "so society could see what was happening" adding she has "confidence in our capacity collectively to find a better future where women & men can live together in mutual respect". What a debt of gratitude we owe her.

NIHR has a funding call for decarbonising the health and social care system - surely improved (preventative, community, rehabilitative focused) pain care/pathways and decarbonising would dovetail interests? #SystemChangeNotClimateChange www.nihr.ac.uk/funding/deca...

Hopefully the govt will enact some evidence based policies on work, and stop marginalising disabled groups and those with chronic illnesses - big issue for those with #ChronicPain - we can and should do better.

Myself and lots of fab colleagues feature here. If Social Policy research is your thing then take a look!

Who’s good on here on UK benefits? I’m wondering whether I’m right that this government hasn’t reversed even the Tories’ last gasp, ultra-mean tightening of sanctions, including an expectation of 3 hour commutes & almost immediate demand that even the best qualified immediate apply for min wage jobs
