Labour should be looking the hardest at that Green vote and wondering why on earth in circumstances like this they couldn’t win those voters over

Not really a party politics commentator - but it does seem odd that both Labour and the Tories are obsessing over voters who, if they vote, will vote Reform anyway.

Not a word of this is true. Literally not a word.

The US is finally spreading democracy, just it's by teaching everyone how quickly conservatives can fuck up everything ever if left unchecked.

VAT isn't a tariff, because it also applies to domestic goods and services. This is very basic stuff.

Aunt Lydia in the Handmaid's Tale says: “There is more than one kind of freedom, freedom to and freedom from. In the days of anarchy, it was freedom to. Now you are being given freedom from.” Where freedom from ends up is Gilead. I want freedom to. Always and forever freedom to.

Getting close to "all mice are gay and they're from space, aren't they."

EXACTLY.

🧵 THREAD: A federal whistleblower just dropped one of the most disturbing cybersecurity disclosures I’ve ever read. He's saying DOGE came in, data went out, and Russians started attempting logins with new valid DOGE passwords Media's coverage wasn't detailed enough so I dug into his testimony:

Bannon the latest in the “Britain doesn’t manufacture anything” brigade. It’s a lazy trope you hear repeated in the media a lot. In fact the UK remains the 8th or 9th biggest manufacturer in the world. 10% of our GDP with some of the most advanced manufacturing anywhere.

You truly could not make it up. You could not.

It's called doctors know what signs to look for now in order to make a proper diagnosis.

There it is:

Aged like a durian and egg sandwich, wedged in a festival portaloo on the hottest day of the year... during a dysentery outbreak...

To be serious here for a moment: The most worrisome aspect of this incident isn't that they were conducting war planning on Signal, or even that they didn't clock who was in the group. It's the response. A government incapable of EVER admitting error and a Congress unwilling to force them to.

It might not seem like the major issue, but the historical illiteracy of an American administration complaining that freeloading Europeans haven't done enough to militarily control the Suez Canal is quite the thing, eh?

This lie doesn’t work if they published your texts in a magazine.

The European Union will allocate 65% its massive defensive spending plan to European countries, with focus on EU countries, but also allied nations such as Norway and Ukraine.

I just got back from 36 hours in Ukraine with my brother Scott. Wanted to share a story from while we were there. At a hospital, we talked with a wounded Ukrainian soldier. I asked him what he thought about the recent change in US policy. His response in English was, “What the fuck.”

Senator Kelly responds to Elon Musk

I wrote a new piece for foreign policy. The US's postwar role as guarantor of Europe’s security is over – and may even turn adversarial. But Europe has an overlooked trump card. When it comes to manufacturing Europe blows the US out of the water. Thread. 1/ foreignpolicy.com/2025/03/07/e...

Marco Rubio wants Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski and by extension the Polish people to be thankful, or else Russians would be already on the Polish border. I will not elaborate much that Russia actually shares a border with Poland.

I've never seen a nation torch its reputation the way Musk and Trump are torching that of the US. Every day they find a way to make a new segment of the world population detest them. Makes Brexit look like a PR triumph.
