*Of course* advance information on US combat operations is classified. Pretending otherwise is an insult to our troops, who all know this. The Secretary is unfit to lead.

yesterday i went out to my favorite asian grocery, it's been a year. first time going there now that i have a walker with a seat, thought it would be better than supporting myself with a shopping cart. it was better but also worse. i got to rest more but that means i did more and the pain ... 🤬😭

you drunk dial your ex regularly? use that power wisely and change their number in your contacts to the ICE tipline: 866-347-2423

Here’s “Basket Case” except it’s about why you shouldn’t use Face ID or a thumbprint to unlock your phone

to senator lisa murkowski and to any other politicians afraid to stand up to the fascists: by not pushing back, you become part of the problem. do your job or stand down and make room for someone who will.

🚨A U.S. born citizen was arrested in Florida for entering the state as an “unauthorized alien.” His mother and a community advocate showed his birth certificate during a hearing in Leon County. The judge said she had no authority to release him.

To be honest, given our current economic situation, I have no problem with self-indulgent rich women paying millions, while ordinary Americans struggle to feed their families, pretending to go into "space." I do question, however, the value of their return.

going into week 4 without a kitchen. i don't know how long it will take to finish, but i am setting my expectations low for at least 2 more weeks. maybe i will be pleasantly surprised.

Honestly I'm glad they picked Harvard to try out this novel "we're mad" legal theory of revoking tax-exempt status, given its infinite resources, deep network of powerful alumni, and law school attended by 142 sitting federal judges. Good luck! 🫡

my parents, silent gen, remain better at civil disobedience than i am (gen x). showing my dad the body camera i got to wear when i go out. "that one doesn't record audio, you have to get the audio too." white, FL, ages 80+: they could look maga. until you know they sat in at lunch counters... 🤨

i have to commend the white house special effects team for hiding the strings that make karoline leavitt move and speak

remember the fifth amendment when locking your devices: things you are vs things you know: facial recognition and fingerprint locks are not legally secure. also, what's to stop them from just holding your phone up to your face? use passcodes/patterns/passwords esslawpartners.com/can-police-o...

as a middle aged white woman, even though i am queer and disabled, i'm pretty "non threatening" to the people in charge at the moment. however, that's not going to stop me from wearing a body camera when i go out so i can document anything i see or that might happen to me. if you can afford one...🤨

he gets called out for trying to legislate something he's never heard of, when it's explained to him, he denies it exists, and then at the end, my favorite part, this lady (i don't know who she is) is caught on mic telling him he's telling lies www.youtube.com/shorts/a6Bft...

i hate the necessity of this, but i do think it's necessary for them to stay safe. it's not worth their safety and security cross the border right now. as a country, we don't deserve to have anyone put themselves at risk for our entertainment

on tax day 2025 i am remembering the time i did the math on my taxes in a newsprint-like workbook from the library and filed by phone (per minute on my new cell phone) while sitting in my car outside of payroll at work where i had just picked up my paper W2 in person.

fun example of diabetes interfering with daily life: when it's time to take the trash cans to the road but my blood sugar crashed to 60mgdl so there's no way i can do that task before the truck comes (exacerbated by me waiting until the last minute to take the trash out)

i made the mistake of watching this while eating. bad idea, what with choking while laughing

This seems right, and all of this is WRONG.

remember kids, always keep at least one method of payment separate from your wallet or wherever you keep your cards. and not just a phone based payment thing. because when you are running out the door to the vet and can't find your wallet, you don't have to miss the appointment you waited weeks for

my problem with not going out of the house much is that there are things i really want the opportunity to say to some people in person. like "you are weirdly obsessed with other people's genitals, like sexual predator level obsessed. have you considered getting therapy to help you manage that?"

just a fun reminder that this book was published last year. www.goodreads.com/book/show/21...

If you're in congress and you aren't publicly in favor of banning the trading of individual stocks by people in congress, get your head out of your fucking ass.

The only way Donald Trump is going to get people to flock to the streets cheering for him is to start the parade in this:

got a peek at the state of my kitchen this morning before the contractors got here (it's blocked off from the rest of the house for safety, i have to go outside and around the house) yeah... i don't think the end of this week ETA is happening. didn't really expect it to.

outside temperature fluctuating between high 80s and freezing + no attic insulation and half my house has no interior walls + mildly allergic to insulin (chills) + hypothyroidism = having a window a/c unit and an electric blanket in my bedroom and sometimes having to use both on the same day

i am imagining the future of creative writing classes: student: i will write my evil villain to be the smartest mastermind the world has ever - teacher: really? that's not very realistic now is it?
