This is probably the most accurate take.

I’m not so sure we won’t, as Trump would and always has wanted to expand into the ME (just as Netanyahu is a land grabber), but we do need to understand that the tactic of an authoritarian regime is to flood us and hope we get distracted. We have to learn to juggle it all.

Today in LA. I ❤️ my town.

Yes, this administration is dangerous and cruel, but they are also shockingly dim and incompetent. Opportunities are everywhere. Make everything as hard as possible. Resist every demand. Refuse entry without a warrant. Don’t take the buyout. Their problem solving skills are 📉

To the bus driver that told ICE that they could not enter his bus and to “Gargle my balls” I think it’s our first rally cry. History had “don’t tread on me” We get this.

There’s a simple solution to this dilemma. DeepSeek can be directly installed onto your personal device so all your data stays localized to your personal device. There’s free tutorial videos floating out on the internet for anyone who needs support installing it, just Google it.

Don’t be disoriented by the chaos. Pick what you care most about and focus there.

Heads up! The @aclu.org Immigrant Rights Project has an EXCELLENT online resource available in multiple languages to walk immigrants or advocates through various scenarios of encounters with immigration officials or police. It includes contact #s for local ACLU offices. www.aclu.org/know-your-ri...

There is a 0% chance that this wasn’t a consciously calculated gesture, and there are zero explanations that excuse it. None.

Because they’re Black, they must be looting? This isn’t an honest mistake. Spread truth, not lies: These folks weren’t looters. This footage is from KTLA, where the homeowner explained that her brothers & friends were helping her move belongings out of her burned house. (Her interview in the 🧵)

Happy 2025 🥳🎉🥂🍾🎊🍻

Please tell your loved ones that if they are going to walk at night, to wear something reflective, or at least one visible article of clothing that isn’t a dark color. Especially if they are walking near traffic, and in a dimly lit area, and if the weather is impacting visibility.

My daughter gave birth a YEAR AGO and has insurance and is STILL paying off medical bills. She said it's because of her heart trauma involved during birth. Then both were in icu/nicu. But STILL!! They had health insurance. WTH?

I wonder how many people are going to thank Bluesky & @jay.bsky.team this Thursday. Cause getting a fresh, new, de-centralized, anti-Musk, anti-Zuck, do-over, chance again at social media connections has been forking AMAZING.

One thing we should all be conscious of here on Bluesky is that trans people were a key part of keeping this site alive when everyone else was afraid to lose clout. They are a big reason we have an alternative to Elon.

Yet another reason to leave Twitter and embrace Bluesky (and other decentralized social media). BTW, Zuckerberg runs his platforms the same way.

Are... tortillas too *spicy* for you, Canada?

Accurate af.

Today, in hundreds of suburban places simultaneously, an immigrant working for a landscaping company blew leaves away from a Trump Vance yard sign.

Worth the read. 👇

Ok, setting aside the obvious Trump glazing for a quick second, this man said "He has the most active Rolodex” A Rolodex? Seriously? Is it too much to ask that we have lawmakers who will be alive in the 2040s, and will have had to live through the consequences of their inevitably horrible policies?

The "bluesky is an echo chamber" think pieces that keep popping up really tickle me because they show how certain people genuinely believe social media should be for debating and arguing and not talking about the things that make you happy and sharing art with the world.

This is the best thing on right now in New York. Go to the Met. Nearly 700 employees - guards, cleaners, curators, conservators - have their work on view in a massive exhibit. It's likely the biggest collection of living artists' work in a major museum in the country on.ft.com/4ewTl9R
