Today's the day!

So cool to see the drivers POV of the City Rail Link! Looks so close to completion now! youtu.be/JetrRA2X_W4?...

Can we talk about how articles like this contribute to the abuse and harassment of women councillors? What backs up the headline comment? Nothing. It's someone's anecdotal feeling - but we actually know our traffic isn't as bad as Auckland's at peak hour because we measured it.

Putting aside the abject failure to uphold agreed plans (no small feat by AT!) The secrecy in of this is really corrosive to public engagement. It's a betrayal of trust - projects decided by a few figures agitating behind closed doors, plus a meek authority. The lack of transparency is remarkable.

We are spending $5.5 billion on a transformational rail project, only for Auckland Transport to bring back cars and traffic right outside stations, by last minute redesigning a well supported project. Something needs to change. www.greaterauckland.org.nz/2025/04/09/g...

So the online attack on MP Benjamin Doyle came from NZ First-connected Rhys Williams, who organised the anti-trans Inflection Point event. #nzpol archive.ph/9jhoS

i kinda yearn for the days the internet was the side thing and not the thing culturally plaguing every part of everything

A sigh of relief when the new ferries were announced to have rail capability, but still a disaster from the government that I had to hold my breath in the first place

Rents are stabilising because each day the equivalent of a full Airbus A320 of NZers heads to Australia one-way. The young, the skilled, the ambitious. Gone for good. So yeah, congratulations Nicola & Chris.

Is it just me or does it not feel like summer has ended yet? Feels way too hot

I wish I didn't live in this electorate

You've heard of a win-win scenario... What about a win-win-win-win-win-win-win-win-win scenario?

Just heard about the incident outside of UoA, hope everyone is okay

The answer is yes, but only for ticketing for now. It still says Britomart at Waitematā and on journey planner, but buying tickets and checking hop history shows Waitemata-Brito

Have they finally done it? After all this time of half-assing it?

NZ is so behind. Incentivising the widespread uptake of solar+batteries is the single best opportunity in energy supply, security, cost-of-living, energy independence, and of course climate: youtu.be/aQARrVHWeHs?...
