The phrase "goody two-shoes" implies the real baddies out there are hopping around on one shoe like some sort of lawless flamingo.

Whoever the fuck mixes up New Jersey as being part of New England needs to get into a better public education system.

So what I'm hearing is...when presented with a real-life trolley situation, they would rather create a third option that hits no one. I mean that's obviously the preferred case in an ideal world for sure. But with so many hands off the lever now, the trolley is now on a wider and faster track 😬

I sometimes forget how starkly different my offline and online lives are, despite being very much intertwined as of late (mostly shaped by the homogenous expectations of professionalism in the workplace). It can get really jarring when I unintentionally 'code switch' in either scenario, however.

Left my apartment for a quick errand and came back maybe 30min later and I could hear from outside the door my cats making that loud screechy cry they do when I'm in the shower and not in their line of sight and frankly I don't think I can leave the apartment knowing this information anymore.

Is there any way to make the 4-8 programs I have to keep open at work at all times /not/ log me out "due to inactivity" every 5 minutes and then ask me to come up with yet another different password with different requirements every 30-60 days varying and then make constant ding-ding noises for fun?
