“Look back, blood on the ground. Look straight, they still shootin' Jump back, still here. Now what that tell you bout death?” -Lyrics from Clipping’s Blood of the Fang My ★★★★ review of Sinners on @letterboxd: boxd.it/9rm5Z3

Thinking about Ben Grimm and his phone, which looks minuscule in his hand. You'd think Reed would have invented a new phone for Ben.

Is there any hope for redemption amid this bloodshed? boxd.it/9qjdLt

None of my comic book moots/oomfs are active here hmmmmmm

I keep forgetting about this app dude. Should I start posting on here again? 🤷🏽‍♂️

Did you guys know that BlueSky doesn’t allow you to post videos longer than :30??? Anyway, here’s our 2025 March Madness trailer: youtu.be/EQmLBUENiNg?...

#lastfourwatched Solid movie watching this week Some Kieślowski & Hong. Junta Yamaguchi really surprised me

Haha yes. So glad they did reprint for Den of Thieves

Kendrick Lamar forever a legend for that

Telling 12 year-old me listening to Good Kid, m.A.A.d City for the 1st time that Kendrick Lamar will perform at the Super Bowl after humiliating Drake track after track. Wild

#nr Annihilation: Nova I've got a good feeling about this. This cover rules

I'll try to post more on this site my bad

I keep forgetting about this website

List (Hong Sang-soo, 2011)

#nw: The Brutalist (Brady Corbet, 2024) let’s see what everyone is yapping about. I got water & trail mix ready for the next 3+ hours

Nickel Boys (RaMell Ross, 2024) The way the POV camera mimics how eyes focus and linger on certain details (a mother's watch, what shoes people wear, a college pamphlet slipping away) is devastating. Fragmented memories, averted glances as a means of survival, and hypnotic interludes. MAJOR art.

#nw: Nickel Boys (RaMell Ross, 2024)

Zoe Thorogood's It's Lonely at the Centre of The Earth

La Chimera (Alice Rohrwacher, 2024) A lovely magical realism tale about our relationship to the past through memories and ancient treasures. I love how Josh O’Connor's eyes convey weariness in seeking closure for a lost love. Carol Duarte is so charming. Tender & heartbreaking

#nw La Chimera (Alice Rohrwacher, 2024)

R.I.P. David Lynch. The way Lynch manages to make me laugh, be terrified, and be hopeful (sometimes all at once) is incredible. Forever thankful for his art.

Yeah, I love Den of Thieves 2: Pantera. It's both a hang-out film and a stylish Euro heist film. The pièce de résistance is an incredible heist with minimal dialogue. Gerald Butler, O’Shea Jackson Jr. and Evin Ahmad = MVPs Please make more of these. letterboxd.com/cedricv/film...

#LastFourWatched Solid start to the year. Hong Sang-soo and Den of Thieves

Oh we are so back. More thoughts later

#nw Den of Thieves 2: Pantera [dolby cinema] I haven’t been to the theater in almost a month. LETSSSSS GOOOOOO

My ticket for The Brutalist in IMAX is secured for next week!

like this is so on-brand for me lmao

There is a stark difference between my first watch and last watch of 2024, but I love both films.

#LetterboxdWrapped Yeah that makes sense. David Lynch is one of my favorite directors now.

oh, The Brutalist will open at my local IMAX theater, but I have shifts this weekend. Will try to go next week.

Hell yeah my Black Friday Vinegar Syndrome order came in. -Michael Mann’s The Keep (1983) -Lino Brocka’s Cain & Abel (1982)

I love the minimal camera setup here with conversations staged in master shots. There's a zoom-in on Kim Min-hee's dazed expression as Jung Jae-young's character reveals his marriage which had me levitating. Color me intrigued, I will check out more Hong Sang-soo films.

Right Now, Wrong Then (Hong Sang-soo, 2015) I've never seen a film restart 50 minutes into the runtime. Shots of soju lead to moments of brutal honesty. It starts amusing and laidback but becomes increasingly melancholic, especially in the back half. Incredible drunk acting.

#nw: Right Now, Wrong Then (Hong Sang-soo, 2015) Starting off the new year with my first time watching a Hong San-soo film.

Christmas haul. Got some comics y’all been recommending. -The Swamp Thing (Ram V) -Captain America Modern Era Epic Collection: The Winter Solider (Ed Brubaker) -Wonder Woman: Dead Earth (Daniel Warren Johnson)

Dulce de leche cookies 🤤

“You got any Christmas music?” “This IS Christmas music!”

I’m gonna be like Argyle from Die Hard this Christmas Eve.

Carry-On (Jaume Collet-Serra, 2024) The setup & introduction are a bit clunky but once Taron Egerton starts running around LAX, it kicks into a higher gear. Jason Bateman's calm and collected manner makes him a great villain. I like a solid Christmas thriller and this is one of those.

The sleepytime tea bear is me rn. Goodnight 😴

Some tea sounds good before I go to sleep

Great post-shift driving home music

I find it amusing when superheroes have to get jobs other than being superheroes. Beautiful Dreamer becomes a fashion model, while Big Bear becomes a chauffeur. Art by Jack Kirby from The Forever People #10
