An alternative moon poem, with Europa as muse 🌘 "NASA says Europa generates enough oxygen a day to keep a million humans breathing" In some other world, we are all refugees... #poetry #poetrycommunity #WritingCommunity

On March 31, dive into an evening of lively readings and spirited conversation inspired by poet @maggiesmithpoet.bsky.social's latest work, Dear Writer. The New York Times bestselling author will be joined by Josh Radnor, @mobrowne.bsky.social, @faithsalie.bsky.social, and more. bit.ly/43bPgWH

My therapist’s favorite poem from my manuscript keeps getting rejected so at least my mental health support team loves it.

Our new contributor interview series, In the Ear, is officially here. I had the pleasure of speaking with @salenacasha.bsky.social about mental health, doom scrolling, visualization, and writing revisions. Read the interview, here: www.librelit.com/in-the-ear/s...

Attempting to learn how to use this dang social media platform??

Purchased from a fellow writer here in the South Sound!

Wish I knew how to use this stupid site other than having to constantly block weirdos.

Wrote 5 poems over winter break instead of working on DBT skills. 😅

Thrilled you dig them. Big and blue.

Jan Beatty has a new book and no one told me AH!! 📚🔥🔥 #poetry upittpress.org/books/978082...

"Candy that glues our mouths shut and tires our jaws, as we float, light as a feather. Candy, so bad for us. Candy, so good. Oh, that candy. It’ll kill us. Stiff as a board." Melissa Ostrom | @emergejournal.bsky.social emergeliteraryjournal.com/cost-of-candy/

seasonally depressed? no, seasonally da best

Yay!!! Thank you so much to the editors and I’m so happy this essay will be included! 🥳

Loooove when my mom guilts me for not visiting at Christmas. 😩

In order to write a book, you have to write a book.

I am cooking up guest editor ideas for 2025-2026. I think that is how I would like to exist (in the strict sense of mastheads): a regular reader-level contributor to organizations I believe in, and regular spots elsewhere to create themed collections & cultivate community

there's a weird lull post book release, when you feel like: did this even happen? anyway, if you're interested in short stories about sad people doing not great things & trying to be happy, consider ordering SAD GROWNUPS: tinyurl.com/2tcjb6cr (Please share this, if you don't mind 💙) #booksky

The great Lena Khalaf Tuffaha @lenakt.bsky.social just won the National Book Award for Poetry, for Something about Living. You can get it @openpoetrybooks.bsky.social, where all proceeds go to HEAL Palestine, providing essential aid, healthcare, educational resources to Palestinian youth: t.ly/Sqvw2

I know his cabinet pics are horrible people, but stating that they are mentally ill just stigmatizes those of us with mental illness even more. You don’t have to be mentally ill to be a bad person. Some people are just bad.

Each cabinet pick is a new fresh hell so here’s a poem from @agnimagazine.bsky.social 100 (!) about birds’ nests made from detritus, extreme weather, + swimming at summer camp. Remember ‘buddy check’? Let’s re-implement buddy check for the next few years maybe for, like, everything? #ecopoetry

So happy to pour over our poets’ poems and select for Pushcart nominations from @rachelsedelman.bsky.social’s Dear Memphis and Carla Sofia Ferreira’s A Geography That Does Not Hurt Us 🥰📚🙏💙

I love this a lot

I laid in child’s pose and watched my cat be cute and I feel amazing and ready to tackle anything. Including writing and laundry and therapy.

Husband just left to fly for the next 4 days and I’m super sad so I might just have all the Oreos in the package.

my personal favorite poetry journals are @feralpoetryandart.bsky.social & @coffinbell.bsky.social

Poet with the Birds”, Marc Chagall

Spent the weekend in the woods with my darling twin daughters and their Girl Scout troop and despite having nothin’ in common with the other moms, the twins said it was the best weekend ever so that’s all that matters.

I love the moon and she loves me back

Wrote a poem today and it needs work and I can’t stop thinking about it so I started cleaning my baseboards.

Yet another day on which I need this poem. Luckily it hangs on my office wall for easy reference.

Grateful to the editors of trampset for nominating my offbeat poem “Answer Key” for the Pushcart Prize. Honored. 🙏
