Whatever political stripe you come from, don't ever let yourself get caught fawning and d-riding for power-hungry people with more wealth than you could ever hope to have.

You know Bluesky is all grown up when you can still find infuriating discourse on here, but nobody's calling each other slurs.

"Everyone always asks, how's the conquest going? But no one ever asks... how's Conquest doing?"

Liberals in the replies are saying: "we have to let the poor suffer or Poilievre wins due to vote splitting" Vote splitting only exists because Carney's party is full of liars on electoral reform They're the ones helping to elect Poilievre

Kinda nuts how Wheatley in Portal 2 was able to quickly fix a massive completely demolished neurotoxin generator, but not able to maintain the basic functions of the reactor

Mark Carney is backing off the promised Pharmacare expansion. This is why I've had a bad feeling about this Liberal momentum. Liberals always do the bare minimum until forced. Carney sees us about to give him a great mandate, and already sees it as an invitation to do less for us. #cdnpoli

Jagmeet Singh a devastating quote on Poilievre today lmfao “I don’t think any woman wants to hear Pierre Poilievre talking about their body. Period.” 💀🤭

We will keep working until the human right to safe, dignified, and affordable housing is upheld for everyone. Together, we keep community at the centre in Winnipeg Centre.

I truly believe that @leahgazan.bsky.social remains one of the all-time greatest MPs in the country, and her voice is needed now more than ever. And from the conversations we had today, it's sounding like voters in Winnipeg Centre agree. Vote for Leah! 🍊 #cdnpoli #VoteNDP

Another thing to remember about so-called "strategic voting arguments" is this: If the gap between the 1st place Liberal and the 2nd place Tory is wider than the Tory and the 3rd place New Democrat, than a shift of votes from Liberal to NDP only helps the NDP pull ahead, not the Conservative.

My CBC vote compass result

I want to follow more left-wing accounts on here, and when I say "left-wing" I don't mean "💙#resistance liberal✊"

If half the NDP's voting base votes Liberal this time, and the Tories still win, it won't be the fault of the other half of NDP voters who didn't swtich, it'll be the fault of Liberal/Conservative swing voters who voted Conservative.

Love how Trump's people keep trying to deflect from the Signal story by attacking the character of the journalist, if all those attacks are true, isn't it worse that you absent-mindedly added this "sleazebag" reporter to the top-secret national security group chat?

When all is said and done, I'm increasingly worried that the consolidation of NDP voters behind Carney is going to represent the biggest surrender of working class politics to plutocracy in our country's history.

This might be the one time in human history where the "BUT HER EMAILS" libs deserve to be smug

I understand the duties of the WAGE portfolio haven't been eliminated, but being shoved into the very bottom of the fine print of a consolidated ministry isn't a good vote of confidence that the government will make it a priority. Same with the Minister of Labour.

So many replies today boil down to “but you don’t understand, Steve! Winning the election is more important than the status of women!” And that’s why nobody trusts liberals. Their caring is transactional. If caring about your needs won’t win elections, you’re on your own

If Pierre poilievre eliminated the ministry for women and gender equality, liberal voters would be foaming at the mouth. But it’s their guy, so they don’t care. It’s just temporary, or a savvy strategic move, or some other half baked excuse

“But Steve, you don’t understand, I’m VERY afraid, and so I’m going to stop thinking rationally about politics for a while” Again and again. “But do you WANT poilievre to win?” Hell no, but that doesn’t mean that any politicians are above criticism. You aren’t voting for a king

I seem to be getting some mixed reception on this thread, mainly on the parts where I criticize both main parties. To make myself clear: We cannot suffer a Conservative government right now. We also cannot afford to shut up and stop demanding better of the Liberal government. #cdnpoli
