Nice one. The median voter of each party *by population density*. The Left‘s swing to being a party of city dwellers is quite striking.

More CO2 storage means more pipelines. This is exactly being discussed where I live in Central Jutland. More people should know about the story of Satartia. www.npr.org/2023/05/21/1...

Having to give a lecture today on "greenwashing" on short notice. Excellent reminder of amount of fascinating, necessary work on this topic, including by @desmog.bsky.social and @emorwee.bsky.social Fantastic example on links between Ad/PR industry and fossil fuels: www.desmog.com/2025/02/10/a...

Really fantastic initiative from ARIA - multidisciplinary approach to develop ways to potentially predict tipping points (Greenland ice sheet and the sub-polar gyre) www.theguardian.com/environment/...

Happy to share my first article in Danish press (@information.dk) about our #GENIE and #ELEVATE research on public perceptions of solar #geoengineering and #CDR. Part of very interesting series to help Danish public understand topics around #climate change. www.information.dk/indland/2025...

Reminder the full dataset used for 30-country #GENIE survey now available open access: cdr.apps.ece.iiasa.ac.at/story/2025_0... Dataset incl. perceptions / support of climate interventions AND beliefs and emotions about #climate change, #trust in governments and actors, and tampering with #nature

So, Arctic Ice Project will soon be no more - combo of new evidence of potential risks to Arctic food chain (which was not supposed to be an issue) with difficult public and funding environment for #geoengineering. Much to discuss here... www.arcticiceproject.org/a-final-chap...

Global public perceptions on #climate change and carbon-dioxide removal #CDR and solar #geoengineering The full #GENIE survey dataset (30 countries, 19 languages) is now available, open access, via the Knowledge Hub. Please dig in! 🔬 cdr.apps.ece.iiasa.ac.at/story/2025_0...

What are public perceptions on climate change and carbon-dioxide removal around the world? The survey dataset by @chadmbaum.bsky.social @liviafritz.bsky.social et al is now available via the #GENIE CDR Knowledge Hub... 📝 cdr.apps.ece.iiasa.ac.at/story/2025_0...

On a side note, I just saw that our #GENIE article from last year on global public perceptions of #SRM and #CDR (here: www.nature.com/articles/s41...) was cited by Hansen et al. Two decades ago, to try and learn about #climate science, I read Hansen's work. So, probably my favorite ever citation 😁

Heated debates on solar #geoengineering ("purposeful global cooling") in 3, 2, 1... "We do not recommend implementing climate interventions, but we suggest young people not be prohibited from having knowledge of the potential and limitations... in their toolbox." www.tandfonline.com/doi/full/10....

New article out now in #Technovation (w/ Stefanie Bröring and Nathalie Sick). We used the mixed-methods approach of group concept mapping #GCM to explore drivers and barriers for emerging #interdisciplinary knowledge areas (IKAs)- in our case #syntheticbiology🧫 www.sciencedirect.com/science/arti...

For any interested in learning more about #SRM and solar #geoengineering - today is the first (of three) in the public webinar series. It focuses on the strategy and approach of Europe within this emerging space. scientificadvice.eu/events/solar...

What ever happened to transparency in solar geoengineering research? a 🧵 of reflections on our new opinion article in PNAS www.pnas.org/doi/10.1073/...

I see that a lot of people still need to look at this infographic about the difference between carbon removal (CDR) and carbon capture (CCS). carbon180.org/blog/the-dif...

Fascinating analysis - breaking down relative impacts of carbon dioxide removal #CDR research in terms of #citations, #patents, policy, news and blogs, and social media. Also for the eight main technologies 1/ iopscience.iop.org/article/10.1...
