We have friends who are barely 30 and they were here for dinner and my kid was super social with them and I was like what is going on this is not normal and then I realized they’re closer to my kid’s age than my age and now it’s time for me to expire.

After reading more of Reviewer 2's comments, it's SO much worse than I thought. Like, our paper is clearly about X and the reviewer comments only make sense if one presumes the paper is not about X, but rather, about Y. I am not even exaggerating. I wonder if ChatGPT did it.

Last night my orchestra rehearsal started late bc of an event in the hall. Turns out it was a David Brooks talk. All the Williamstowners came out saying “so inspiring!” and I am like JFC where are your critical thinking skills. This is image-washing and that dude helped put us where we are now.

A funny story about this is that I recently guest lectured in a data/ethics course at another school and I asked the seniors what they were doing after graduation and first person to answer said "Working for Palantir" and I was like (in my head) so you're taking this class for your Don'ts list?
