This put me in a semi-permanent state of being in and out of a mission at the same time. From here I couldn't interact with anything, but the pause menu let me restart the mission like it was active. After I finished it, I was back in the open world but with the 3 lives mechanic still on.

Trying Sonic Frontiers on the PS5. When it first came out I heard the pop-in was bad, but I assumed that was just on the Switch version. This feels more like by design.
