oh Rocksteady I will never forgive you for your treatment of Harley Quinn. dropped the ball on her portrayal constantly from 2009 to 2024. it's like they were told "this character is widely beloved" and they were like "okay we'll have her in the game, we don't know what you love about her though."

the recent exponential rise in the amount of YouTube ads makes me wonder if Google wants to purposefully destroy their own platform or something. feels like the burden of other people's evasion of ads has been dropped on us vanilla version users if they think we won't bite the bullet they're wrong.

programming the engine to flip to 30fps + RTGI in the hideout area takes guts & is a cool approach. hand crafting & applying effects already happens in cutscenes, so it makes sense to show the peaceful, safe haven parts with the utmost detail. a minor but welcome bit of freedom to give the artists.
