Good to see this idiocy being called out. A lot of public servants have also been complaining about the struggle (not new to this govt, but quite pronounced at the moment) to get things published. I heard at least one department was vetting officials' *attendance* at events

Will this require conferences to stop officials’ from speaking? I’m pretty sure the Royal Statistical Society #RSS International Conference in September has officials booked to speak. And rightly so, as gov, industry & academia all need to learn from each other. 🤷‍♂️ @royalstatsoc.bsky.social

My neighbour mistakenly transferred our electricity to a new supplier And I’m left: 1) asking neighbour what the hell they’ve done 2) current supplier tell me I’m no longer a customer 3) telling new supplier I didn’t request this 4) waiting to see if my old supplier will take me back 🤷‍♂️😤

Sometimes my Guide Dog stays at home when I go out. Obviously she's never left alone for more than a couple of hours and if I'm out for a whole working day I arrange for someone to be with her. So why do I choose to leave my working Guide Dog at home even though she is my eyes most of the time? 1/
