If you've had one of those days when all you really need is a baby bear trying to catch snowflakes, here's a baby bear trying to catch snowflakes.

My 13 yo daughter was on the computer laughing. I asked what was so funny. She said “I found this website called The Onion it’s so funny” and reader lemme tell you, the elder millennial dad noise I let out could be heard 3 towns over.

Lately I have zero patience for people who comment “I hate it,” “it’s ugly,” “it’s meaningless,” “this isn’t poetry,” etc. Buddy, nobody cares. Let people enjoy things.

The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago. The next best time is now. ~Chinese Proverb

No matter what industry or community you’re in, there will always be people who don’t have your best interests in mind/are not who they seem. But there are also really amazing people in those spaces. You can’t control how others navigate life but have faith in your own kindness and moral compass.

my 7-year-old just informed me that we're all made from four things: - skeletons - stardust - monkeys - love

“Confront the dark parts of yourself, and work to banish them with illumination and forgiveness. Your willingness to wrestle with your demons will cause your angels to sing.” Born on this day playwright August Wilson, born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania (1945).

I know not enough people know the truth yet but sure, the Republicans are stopping things. But the real barrier to progress against Trump right now is the leadership in the Democratic Party. When I tell people the stuff their staffers say they are often literally in shock.

I think some people assume because I'm so blunt that maybe I was just some junior staffer playing around. No, I founded the Senate Dems Digital Group. I taught classes on how to do social media for the caucus. Brought in speakers. Worked directly with House/Senate leadership frequently.

Apropos of nothing if some rando tries talking to you in public and can’t take a hint the first few times, hissing is 100 percent effective in my experience

Remember those times when you would be notified of someone visiting your TL only to watch them like and retweet everyone off of it whilst never once touching anything of yours .. Yeah well umm I don't think I'm gonna marry you,Theodore

Andry José Hernández Romero, I remember you, even if I do not know how to articulate my horror, rage, & sorrow at your treatment by my government. No one has heard from you in 43 days. As vigil, I’m posting a photo of you every day until you are returned from El Salvador.

It has been reported that President Zelensky of Ukraine was the only world leader attending Pope Francis’ funeral, that received applause…

In 2004 I would be appointed (once again) by President Bush to serve on a Commission to advise the Congress & White House on the future of NASA, which led to this report: neildegrassetyson.com/media/pdf/MoonToMarsFinalReport.pdf At no time was basic science seen as a luxury in need of a chainsaw.

See you in Pittsburgh for the 2026 #NFLDraft.

Just when I am convinced there is only the worst of people left in the country, the indie bookstore owners told us if we want to attend their book club, we have to sign up the day they announce the next one because it fills up IMMEDIATELY. Thank you, bibliophiles, for giving me an ounce of hope. 📚💙

This is positive. Easy to be cynical but Ukraine needs that peace deal.

You never know when the universe will see you and have mercy. Tonight, a friend who has been homeless off and on for a few years needed help. She just got into housing this week, and has a job interview tomorrow. She didn't have shoes, though, just flip flops. 1/6

Bittersweet, heartbreaking night for Pittsburgh Steelers draft pick, Derrick Harmon, a defensive lineman from Oregon. He sadly lost his mom shortly after visiting hospital to let her know, that his dream of playing in the NFL has come true. My heart goes out to him and his family. 💔🕯️🕊️

My niblets are both amazingly NICE people. I mean, seriously. I know my biases, but both kids are just... 10/10 on nice, empathetic, GOOD humans. So anyway, one niblet when they were younger...said something mean to the other niblet at the same school they went to, in front of friends.

word of the day - natsukashii (adj) - of some small thing that brings you suddenly, joyously back to fond memories, not with a wistful longing for what’s past, but with an appreciation of the good times. ( nats-ka-‘shE (nahtzkah-SHEE) Japanese #WorldBookDay
