You ain't the first son of a bitch to wake up out of their dream.

Zohran's right. flex posts need to go the way of Andrew Cuomo's career "we need bollards, we need to replace these flex delineators... there are New Yorkers who do not bike because they're afraid of their safety... we need to further protect our already protected bike lanes."

God I hope so

Who's making me a t-shirt?

You love to see this happen to a guy who is absolutely parked in a bike lane right now

Look, I’ll tell you one thing for sure: Portland’s renaissance will absolutely never come from alienating young people who want to start families in favor of wealthy business interests. It just won’t.

I’m sooo tired of Democrats siding with the rich over the people. Gutting Preschool for All to protect millionaires from a tiny tax is a betrayal—of working families, of our values, and of the voters who demanded this. If this isn’t worth fighting for, what is? CONTACT YOUR LEGISLATORS NOW:

🤨 If only we had applied that logic to the PCEF debate

🚨🚨The White House is pissed off about this ad so you know what to do, share it everywhere! ICE is disappearing people just because of the color of their skin! No Warrant! No Due Process! This is not who we are as Americans! #MAGAKidnappers want an all white America, fuck that‼️

how about the emphasis on biden’s age? on clinton’s emails? did those have no effect? it’s not just one thing.

The sole criteria I will be voting on in the 2028 primary is which candidate credibly promises to put the largest number of Trump officials in prison. I do not care about any of their other policies.

Homeless residents of Multnomah County, Oregon, home to Portland, now die at a higher rate than in any major West Coast county with available homeless mortality data: more than twice the rate of those in Los Angeles County. @streetroots.bsky.social

Welcome back

Major progress on SW 4th Ave bikeway. Look at the size of that protective median! 😮

Various start locations, all routes converge at Salmon Springs! shift2bikes.org/calendar/eve... #pdxBikes #bikeFun #PedalpaloozaPDX #BikeSummerPDX

Folks watching Oregon's law enforcement drone bill SB238 will be interested to see my extensive investigative reporting on Portland Police drone use, work I have done to understand how PDX surveillance policy might affect surveillance tech use.

This post is made at the request of resident cat Fiona, who would very much appreciate someone adopting these two foster kittens asap. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

This one woman just did more about January 6th than like 95% of the Democrats in congress.

This is a good example of the utter degradation of journalism to appease law enforcement. Read and ask yourself whether in any other context a journalist would let “who fired the shot” be so mysterious for so long.

PBOT’s own survey—which they never posted online, and never did anything to reach out to users of the bars and restaurants—shows 70% support for keeping the outdoor dining structures. And they’re using this survey as support for removing them!

It's two steps forward and one step back.

There's documented precedent that Portland Police misrepresent their capacity as being too limited to serve the public in an effort to extract more resources during budget debates. They're de facto work stoppages at taxpayer expense. To wit:

Regarding the NW 13th Ave plaza removal: my office is engaged on this and actively working to restore these car free spaces. My intention is to pursue a solution in systematic fashion, via code change, because it speaks to broader issues in the struggle for who gets to claim our streets. Stay tuned.

Is it the newspaper’s job to take police at their word or to verify the claim? Is it not interesting that this always happens during budget season? Isn’t it interesting that they were staffed up enough to send a 3rd of the force they had for NE Portland to monitor Councilor Kanal instead of patrol?

This is the kind of energy we need to bring until the GOP bill passes or fails
