Metaphor: Re Fantazio is so good but I got to a certain late game dragon and got so mad I stayed angry even when I won so I'll be taking a break

Don't understand the initial negativity around Mickey 17. It was really good! Exactly the kind of freshness needed to inject some life into film.

Finished Clair Obscur last night. Definitive GotY. I just don't think anything can beat it out. So incredibly good, and the ending... Just wow.

Just got my first query rejection email and it brightened my mood considerably! I didn't even think they'd look at it tbh. Here's to a hundred more and maybe a yes somewhere down the line. #writingcommunity

Just realized my Anglo-Saxon brain added an a to the end of Clair Obscur on my last two post, I'll repent by enjoying a nice pastry

Might be too early to say, but Clair Obscura is hopefully an indicator the current wave of nostalgia based entertainment is tapering and people are craving new and fresh again, the Oblivion remaster aside.

Still haven't come to terms with something that just happened in Clair Obscura. I'm in complete denial.

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is just phenomenal. Every single fight, cutscene, or corner turned is magic. Just an all around beautiful experience!

I'm in awe of Oblivion Remastered. It's such a beautiful mixture of everything that made the original great without any drastic changes to ruin what made it great. I mean just LOOK at it. My old pal, the Oblivion gate with a new coat of paint.

He really said "I can't panic in this quicksand or she'll get the ick"

Just unexpectedly beat Blue Prince. The RNG lined up so perfectly I managed to get everywhere I needed and I almost wish it hadn't. So much left to uncover. I'll press forward anyways.

Something about Blue Prince I noticed, if you sit idle on main long enough a trailer plays. Feel like that's way less common place than it used to be. Do that with any game in the 360 era and you'd be accused of sneaking away from chores to game more.

The Blue Prince might be one of the most interesting games I've played in years.

Just wrapped South of Midnight. Absolutely beautiful game with excellent songs, a few of which could have done without lyrics, and meh combat that I could have done without. Got a Pyschonaughts vibe from the structure which is a huge compliment. Overall, loved it!

Many products sold in the U.S. are made in El Salvador. In response to the El Salvador president’s statements today, we’re calling for an immediate boycott of all Salvadoran-made goods. Please help by listing any products or brands made in El Salvador in the comments below.

The Fifth Element is the best Bruce Willis movie and I don't think my mind can be changed

South of Midnight is excellent! I always worry about Southern dialogue being unrealistic/cringe but I think they did a good job. Some of the song lyrics though... Good writers are not always good songwriters. The first legendary monster song needed some workshopping.

Considering Marketing is in shambles I'm on the verge of giving up and pursuing becoming a licensed therapist which I probably should have done from the start. Ah well.

Either Apple TV is just genuinely the best streaming service available right now or all the shows just happen to have been made for me. So many bangers. Currently watching Shrinking and it's so good.

55% tariff on The Lands Between

South of Midnight is here, and Xbox has recreated the game's monstrous alligator, Two-Toed Tom and dropped him in a real gator-infested bayou for a truly unique gaming experience: news.xbox.com/en-us/2025/0...

Just putting it out there, I am open for #freelance projects! Just finished a magazine article up. I'm knowledgeable about video games, tech, literature, etc. and have a lot of legal writing experience. DM me if you need a writer or knows someone who could use one!

Gonna start saying "Scavengers Reign just be renewed" at the end of every post like Cato the Elder.

After finishing Common Side Effects, I think it might be one of the most important shows on TV right now. Lots of cool stuff and a much needed in your face slap to pharma. Highly recommended. And it's just plain fun.

Being in heavy writing mode makes me critical of everything more acutely. I'm watching The Gorge on Apple TV begging the beginning to get cut cause we've spent way too long getting to the actual Gorge. #writingcommunity

Played DnD for the first time in years and I'm already craving the next session. Everyone in the group is new to it but really got into the bit. Already dreaming up session two. #dnd

This has about the same historical accuracy as the idea that chivalry was anything more than a rules of engagement that weren't even really followed.

After knocking out 50 pages on my new WiP I've decided to work on the sequel to my first book - "the big one". What's everybody working on this coming weekend? #writingcommunity

Unemployment update: there is none and now I have to change Arma: Reforger servers because a streamer gets on the one I liked every night and destroys everyone with Apaches and I'm fed up.

My old school got hit by a tornado and would have hit my family had it moved only a mile or two in a different direction. The damage is severe. Incredible photos are already being passed around.

Anyone know how the Chicago job market looking for comms/marketing? It's looking like if I'm ever gonna have a job again it's time to pull up roots

Discovering only 5.5% of people have taken Karlach on a date in Baldur's Gate is so sad. Chivalry really is dead.

BG3 created some of the greatest party members ever BUT conceptually they should have been more diverse. Make Halsin a half-orc. Add a deep gnome bard. Maybe a dwarf necromancer who worships Jergal. That said, BG3 is so good I wouldn't sacrifice any of the current party besides the Halsin change.
