My old school got hit by a tornado and would have hit my family had it moved only a mile or two in a different direction. The damage is severe. Incredible photos are already being passed around.

Anyone know how the Chicago job market looking for comms/marketing? It's looking like if I'm ever gonna have a job again it's time to pull up roots

Discovering only 5.5% of people have taken Karlach on a date in Baldur's Gate is so sad. Chivalry really is dead.

BG3 created some of the greatest party members ever BUT conceptually they should have been more diverse. Make Halsin a half-orc. Add a deep gnome bard. Maybe a dwarf necromancer who worships Jergal. That said, BG3 is so good I wouldn't sacrifice any of the current party besides the Halsin change.

If I don't have any darlings to kill does that mean I'm just good at keeping on track or do I need to see what's off the track more. Check out the scenery. Smell a rose and risk the fungi. Who knows, but I haven't killed one yet on book 1 or 2 #writingcommunity

Just lost an hour on my latest Baldur's Gate 3 run because of the stupid shadow monstrosity in the broken tower. I'd pay someone to do everything in Act 2 except Moonrise Tower for me.

After writing almost 40 pages in an inspired and mysterious stream of consciousness I officially somewhat have a plot (and perhaps a twist). Now to fill in all the gaps between nere and the ending I think I want. #writingcommunity

After switching to stainless and cast iron pans years ago I can't fathom how we ever shifted to non-stick. It's just not that hard and way better for you. The marketing must have been insane to turn a generation that supposedly knew better away from good ole cast iron/stainless.

Crazy to me this guy is one of the minds behind Severance

Complete batshit lunacy on the president's Truth Social account. Yes, he really posted this.

What makes Gandalf so special is he has seen the entirety of the history of mortal beings and even the worst of the Elves and still never quit believing life was worth the effort. Humanity will make more mistakes and to him it doesn't matter because it's worth the effort.

My only gripe with Avowed is it may have the WORST loot and enemy scaling system I've ever played. There's not enough resources to go around and it's just not fun. Weird choice there.

Avowed is really special, glad to finally have it in my hands. So far I'm enjoying slinging spells around @obsidian.net

Currently playing through a few older games that got the remake treatment and seeing it only takes 10-12 hours to beat them is so nice. I didn't appreciate that properly when I was a kid.

The separation of Civ leaders from Civs will never not mess with me.

The Chiefs getting dominated is the first step in healing this country

Haven't gotten bored with Sourdough yet, so here's the latest bread update

My favorite genre fiction involving actual religions is where actually everyone's Gods are real and they just try not to mess with each other or do and bad stuff happens

Common Side Effects on MAX is great! But a side effect is it makes me want more Scavengers Reign

Is this art

Seen a lot of weird "Eternal Strands bad because of DEI" reviews so I've been trying to guess what set that crowd off. Three hours in, all I got is one of the characters is a black woman. Weak. Dragon Age: Origins had more "DEI" but that same crowd loves it.

The Headliners is a new entry in the growing Lethal Company-like genre but it's a shit ton of fun. I took a picture of my friend being thrown around by the alien from Arrival and my lungs almost busy from laughter

Loving Eternal Strands so far! Great find on Game Pass, shocked I'm just now hearing about it.

While I'm editing my first book, I've decided to give the MC of my second a weird little guy companion. Every protagonist needs their weird little guy

this is how it feels to reach 30 MILLION users!!!

Second sourdough success (there were two failures before we ain't gonna talk about)

So with the news that the grants and funds that go to fund FAFSA may be made insolvent by the freeze, I'm terrified for these kids. I would NOT have been able to go to college without that program. While I am unemployed, my future is somewhat in better shape because of that program.

Sourdough got me planning a chapter in my next book where they just make bread for a day
