Been spending most of my social media time at Substack, but I'll pop in to ask a question. What's a philosophy term or idea that comes to mind that starts with the letter N? Nihilism? Natalism? Normativity? Will help me formulate the next chapter of my free philosophy text book.

gofund.me/4c22cd54 Update (mostly good news) on my kitty cat.

Watching Smile 2 again. What a solid flick. Awesome opening scene.

Stephen King’s killer dog classic CUJO is headed back to the screen with a new adaptation in the works from Netflix, and the film’s director may have been found in Darren Aronofsky.

Remember Dungeon Magazine? This is one of my favorite covers. Masterpiece. A Rose for Talakara. What would you be looking for in a "reboot" of something like this? Generic systems? One long adventure? Side Treks? #rpg #dungeon #dragons #art #fantasy

Are you interested in #teaching #learning or #pedagogy ? I wrote an article on how to get students to DO philosophy rather than just learn about it. Applicable to many disciplines. open.substack.com/pub/philosop...

Anyone see #thegorge movie? #gorge I really enjoyed the setup. Right into the thick of things. #horror

I wrote a short horror/suspense story (4100 words). You can read a single article behind my paywall for free. You might enjoy this one. substack.com/@travisjrodg...

Anyone see and enjoy #thegorge movie?

I've been posting #philosophy chatter, #dungeon chatter, and #horror chatter over at #substack. I'm making an effort to post more here. But if you like any of those things, check out travisjrodgers.substack.com

Update on my chronically ill cat. He finished his most recent round of antibiotics. He's on immunosuppresive therapy (steroids), but he has gained more than a pound in the last three weeks and has all his personality back! Love you, Auggie.

gofund.me/4c22cd54 I haven't posted much on here because I've been taking care of my sick cat. Anything you can offer is appreciated.

Started watching Black Doves. Seemed deeply in medias res. Episode was halfway finished and I told my wife I had no idea how the series would hold tension for 5 more episodes. Credits rolled. I’d started on the last episode. Ruined it.

I’m holed up in the hospital. Got any #audible recommendations from their big sale? #booksky

#booksky finished Cormac McCarthy’s The Road. So good. Powerful and touching.

#horrorsky Any recommendations for new-to-streaming, free horror films?

NW. The first 40 minutes have been much better than I was expecting, but I had incredibly low expectations. #horrorsky

#booksky just finished And Be a Villain, a Nero Wolfe tale, by Rex Stout. Fun, punchy dialogue. An interesting mystery. Resolved a little too tidy and “off screen,” but still a good time.

#booksky Just finished reading Stephen King's #OnWriting - fantastic read. Got my creative juices flowing.

#moviesky #filmsky #horrorsky I found parts of Lisa Frankenstein really funny and enjoyable, but I wonder if there's enough there for non-fans of the horror genre. And that said, it's not really a horror, as there's not much that's intended to be scary. Thoughts?
