Full Time: Man City 5-0 Chelsea. February in Manchester has not been kind to the Blues' academy as they finish the month with a five-goal humbling against the blue half of the city this time. Burn the footage of this one.

GOAL, 5-0 City, the hosts break clear from a Chelsea corner with Ryan McAidoo getting 80 yards to run almost unchallenged, Stutter the nearest to him, but he rides a tackle and chips over Curd to score. (86)

Chelsea substitution: Chizzy Ezenwata replaces Ato Ampah. (83)

Chelsea substitution: Leo Cardoso replaces Kiano Dyer. (76)

Chelsea substitution: Genesis Antwi replaces Donnell McNeilly. (71)

Mubama has another disallowed - his third disallowed goal of the night - as he taps in a rebound from another saved shot. (70)

Mubama celebrates another goal seconds later as he turns home a low cross from the right but he was just offside. (68)

Chelsea won this fixture at City last season with City fielding 5/10 outfield starters tonight in that game but they haven't laid a glove on them tonight and there's still a long way to go. (68)

GOAL, 4-0 City, Mubama heads home his hat-trick with a simple unmarked header from Lawrence's cross. (67)

McNeilly has Chelsea's first shot on target in the 61st minute, made by some brilliant play by Emenalo, but the finish is poor one on one with Brits. (61)

GOAL, 3-0 City and this could get ugly quickly, Mubama with a second tapped in from inches out as City worked a corner routine to the far post, Curd saved the first chance but not the second. (52)

GOAL, 2-0 City, the hosts double the lead inside a minute of the restart, Emenalo slicing a clearance to Oboavwoduo, ending up with Henderson-Hall hammering home. (46)

Half Time: Man City 1-0 Chelsea. Not the most exciting half, though it had its moments, the Blues went behind very early to an avoidable mistake and are lucky to not be two or three back after City spurned some late chances.

Henderson-Hall misses an open goal from two yards out as he gets his connection with Gray's cross all sorts of wrong. (42)

Gray hits the post for City with a shot from a tight angle. (33)

Curd does well to get down and save a strong shot from Mubama. (32)

Hughes and Alleyne exchange headed half-chances without worrying the respective goalkeepers. (28)

Midway through this first half you have two teams who present themselves as trying to play the same way not really doing very much of anything. Cancelling each other out is the polite way of putting it. (22)

Chelsea have had all the ball since going behind, not doing much with it, Murray-Campbell deciding that a 35-yarder was worth a go. Off target. (10)

GOAL, 1-0 City, Mubama just about beats Curd from the spot. (3)

Penalty to City after 70 seconds for a lazy trip on Lawrence by Hughes. (2)

Chelsea get us started.

A lot of quotes from today are going to age exactly as well as you think.

Southampton are worse than most Conference League teams.

Boos growing around Stamford Bridge as Chelsea delay in possession in their own box and Southampton decline to press them. Marescaball not going down well

I've said it before but it's more true now; if Clearlake bought the club from Clearlake now they'd sack everyone and do a year long tour going on about how badly we're run.

Robert Sanchez would've saved the second goal but by the same token he'd also have been responsible for about eighteen chaotic errors in possession and positioning throughout the game.

Say the line Bart.

Full Time: Chelsea 2-2 West Ham. A disappointing end to a largely positive day for a really young Blues squad; goals from Ezenwata and Nicoll-Jazuli only enough for a point at the end of it all.

GOAL, 2-2. Landers equalises really, really late on as Chelsea got caught high off their own goal kick. (90+4)

Landers hits the woodwork for West Ham as they mount late pressure. (88)

Austin makes a really good save from Sowunmi who looked destined to equalise. (77)

GOAL, 2-1 Chelsea, Walsh puts Ezenwata in again, he can't finish but Mahdi Nicoll-Jazuli can for his first #CFCU18 goal. (61)

GOAL, 1-1. A deserved equaliser arrives as Walsh pokes a smart ball in to Ezenwata, and he nudges it past Hooper. (55)

Half Time: Chelsea 0-1 West Ham. A fairly even half, Chelsea will feel like they should have been ahead, but a mistake allowed the visitors to have that privilege at the break.
