Grilled veggies and kebabs with some tzatziki. Comforting flavours to enjoy on a cool night. #chemistswhocook

I love burgers and this bacon smash double cheeseburger is no exception. It had a homemade burger sauce, shredded iceberg, sliced raw mushrooms and there is Orkney and emmenthal cheese. Messy but delicious. #chemistswhocook.

I had a hankering for buffalo chicken wings and so followed loosely a recipe from @kenjilopezalt.bsky.social and these baked ones were so crispy. One had Frank’s red hot & the other was honey garlic. Served w/ crudité platter & blue cheese sauce. Dessert, a blackberry trifle. #chemistswhocook

We had our annual group potluck. What a fantastic smorgasbord of food, reflecting a dynamic and diverse and fantastic group. Even got cookies with a simplified Jablonski diagram. #chemsky. @ezc-group.bsky.social

Roasted cod on top of a chorizo and chickpea and harissa stew with some mint and coriander oil. #chemistswhocook

Probably the closest version yet of the restaurant version of salt and pepper tofu. Served with rice, broccoli and a quick pickled cucumber salad. #chemistswhocook

The chicken pita souvlaki ranks amongst the top wraps for me. Warm pita, Flavourful souvlaki, complemented by tzatziki and red onions. #chemistswhocook.

Inspired by a post from @cheffinwithzach I made sheet pan kofta (one beef and one lamb) roasted tomatoes and pepper, Persian rice. Kofta went so well w/ sumac and parleyed onions and a harissa tahini sauce. #chemistswhocook

Made beef and 3-bean chilli (had about 6 types of chillies). Served with cornbread and sautéed kale with garlic. Dessert was a simple peach cobbler. #chemistswhocook

Breakfast for dinner. Made hash browns, oven roasted green beans with Za’atar, a nice salad, bacon, and two sunny side up eggs. #chemistswhocook

So happy with how these pizzas turned out. Cooked in the oven. Dough made in the morning using ice water to not let the dough over proof. Two sets of stretch and fold and then proofed for 9 hours. #chemistswhocook

A pancetta and pea risotto. It may not seem it but it had perfect consistency. I have it a small hot or lemon noodle at the end to brighten up the flavours. #chemistswhocook

A quick and umami forward meal is beef and broccoli, served over rice. The rump steak, frozen to allow for thin cuts gets marinated and velveted. The sauce has garlic, oyster sauce, soy, Shaoxing wine and some sugar. Broccoli is par cooked before. Added bell pepper for extra veg. #chemistswhocook

A had a hankering for rösti and so made a big one. Served with braised cabbage, garlic glazed carrots, and chicken schnitzel. #chemistswhocook

If you enjoy tasty Mediterranean flavours and are in London then I strongly encourage OREN. Lots of photos. Lots of veggie options. Great cocktails as well. If you are a fan of Ottolenghi then you will be happy here.

A veggie delight. I boiled firm tofu in salted water to season it and finished off w/ a chilli garlic sauce, oven roasted broccolini, asparagus & beans in some garlic oil. Sautéed mushrooms, fried egg and all over rice. #chemistswhocook.

A healthy meal. Steamed cod with ginger and scallion. Finished with a soy and Shaoxing wine sauce and hot sesame oil. Served with a warm soba noodle salad containing lots of veg that I stir fried beforehand and with a spicy soy miso sauce. #chemistswhocook

Sunrise rainbow. I don’t think gunk I have ever seen this beforehand. So beautiful. #scotland.

Morning walks on West Sands are special and serene, especially when the tide is (way) out and there is no wind. Photos taken at around 9:45 in the morning. #scotland.

Five spice scented duck breast with a star anise, orange and red wine sauce, sautéed pak choi and leek, wild and brown rice. And leek crisps. All came together in the time to cook the rice (okay made my own chicken stock beforehand). #chemistswhocook

Always a great pleasure to catch up with my former postdoc supervisor Jay Siegel and what a great day to walk around Edinburgh too.

Taking store bought dumplings and elevating them with a homemade peanut butter dipping sauce and some chilli crisp. #chemistswhocook

My kids were ecstatic that there was both pizza (simple Parmesan and mozzarella cheese) and pasta, served with Padron peppers. This is because I was unsure of my dough. Turns out pizza came out quite tasty. Snuck in anchovies into pasta sauce for a marinara vibe. #chemistswhocook

Fried rice is a fantastic mid week meal. Rice got made in the rice cooker in the morning and then allowed to cool on the counter. This version contains prawns, Chinese sausage, peas, carrots and egg. Very satisfying and makes for great leftovers as well. #Chemistswhocook

Bulking up ramen soup with some teriyaki chicken, enoki mushrooms, a just hard boiled egg, some green onions and broccoli. #ChemistsWhoCook

Freshly made linguini gets transformed into king prawn linguini. Made my own shrimp stock for it. Served with an arugula salad and spinach with garlic. #ChemistsWhoCook

Kung Pao tofu, served with Choi sum with garlic and steamed rice. Tasted just like from a Chinese restaurant. All vegetarian to boot #chemistswhochook

Indulgences are a smash cheese burger with my own burger sauce, some addictive roasted potatoes with thyme and garlic and @nigella.bsky.social chocolate olive oil cake, which I served with some sweetened sour cream. #chemistswhocook.

Salmon tacos following a recipe from @recipetineats. Salmon is marinaded in lime and chipotle. Served on top of a cabbage slaw with a lime garlic crema and a mango and avocado salsa. The fish is seared in a pan. Bonus is crispy skin as a snack. #chemistswhocook

A Middle Eastern meal of tabouleh, souvlaki, grilled zucchini, tzatziki and Greek Salad. Bright flavours to waken the tastebuds. I must have used 5 lemons for this meal. #chemistswhocook

A very quick and delicious meal of Szechuan noodles with bork and green beans following a recipe from @recipetineats. Sauce is ketchap manis, oyster sauce and sambal oelek. #chemistswhocook.

Southeast Asian meal alert. Combined som tom salad, bean sprouts with garlic, sesame seeds and green onion, and Vietnamese shaking beef. Served with coconut rice, which may be my new indulgence. #chemistswhocook

Lunch used left over baked potatoes to make a delicious potato salad. Dinner was a one pot rigatoni with meatballs made from pork sausages. Served with a Roman salad of fennel and endive with an anchovi and garlic dressing. #chemistswhocook.

The wisps of orange and pink of a St Andrew’s sunrise at 8:15. So beautiful. #Scotland

Inspired by a reel on insta from @dennistheprescott I made steak haché with a whisky peppercorn sauce, sautéed new potatoes /‘d green beans. A hit. Came together in about 50 min. #chemistswhocook.

Miso glazed cod, avocado, sautéed oyster mushrooms with sake and soy, steamed broccoli and rice. A satisfying meal. Fish marinated in miso dressing for 36 hours. I reduced the marinade to make a glaze too. #chemistswhocook

Tonight it is penne alla Amatriciana (tomato sauce with crispy pancetta). Served with an endive, celery, walnut and raisin salad with a lemon vinaigrette. #chemistswhocook

As it is still chilly here I went for a recipe I saw from Aaron and Claire, a gochujang rice and minced beef, which was served with scrambled egg and a smashed cucumber and avocado salad with garlic and black vinegar. #chemistswhocook

Sticking with a somewhat Eastern European vibe we have chicken schnitzel (made with cornflake crumbs, which you can get in Canada but not in the UK), glazed carrots, sautéed cabbage and al onions and some potatoes with rosemary. #chemistswhocook
