List of journalists reaching out to illegally terminated Feds: www.reddit.com/r/fednews/s/...

New: DOGE's spending has been secret. No longer. My colleagues have uncovered it. www.propublica.org/article/doge...

"The Secretary may not reduce the civilian workforce ... unless the Secretary conducts an appropriate analysis of the impacts of such reductions... A senior defense official said that no such analysis has been done..." Maybe that explains the delay?

Narcissists only respect boundaries that are enforced. The Constitution is a boundary. Enforce it.

You can say it's generational, but I do think the data about internal vs. external motivators is interesting. Whereas historically there was more trust in employers, employees were more willing to sacrifice. Now, employees are behaving as the market has treated them- rationally.

Looking forward to reading this. "People who want to move, and can’t, grow more cynical, more pessimistic, more inclined to see the world as zero-sum... a society that ties people down is likely to produce a politics that views change as threatening and diversity as dangerous."

How do you motivate people to care more about the Constitution?

"The Trump administration has since tried to reverse their terminations, according to media outlets, but has reportedly struggled to reach the people that were fired after they were locked out of their federal email accounts." Print your performance evals and get ready to be rehired or sue.

💯

Remember: The oligarchs who control our economy and democracy seek to divide us so they can become more powerful. They want us to turn on each other so we don't look up and see where all the wealth and power have gone. Don't fall for it.

JUST IN: A federal judge in Washington state, who blocked Trump's executive order re: transgender health care, says it is unconstitutional in multiple ways, including usurping Congress' power of the purse storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.us...

I'm not big on religion, probably mostly because of the ways in which it's been abused. But faith is a very different thing. The works of John O'Donohue really resonate with me. So while I feel outrage, I don't think that has historically been as persuasive or productive as quiet resistance...

Contemplating the moment, and our recovery. Language matters- you've seen the lists. Insurrection, Nazi, illegal, unconstitutional, treason. It's heartbreaking. But let us not be paralyzed in our grief, but be motivated by it. The idea of America is not dead. The Constitution stands- for now.

I'm surprised the rift isn't being exploited more.

I really wonder if we're headed toward a reconsideration of Marbury v. Madison.

"It is to be regretted that the rich and powerful too often bend the acts of government to their selfish purposes... There are no necessary evils in government. Its evils exist only in its abuses." A better headline would read "DJT is NOT Andrew Jackson."

TLDR: He's willing to violate ethics rules while simultaneously pledging fealty to Musk in a memo wherein he promises to hunt down people who break the law or behave unethically (really) "to the end of the Earth."

Let us count the ways...

Loving hearing Sen. Warnock. "Never surrender."

Call it what it is.
