Wait I forgot about Metroid Dread, I love the game. BotW I consider a Wii U game so it doesn't count. I do love that game as well. Aside from those 2 and Kirby and the Forgotten Land as I mentioned tho...yeah. Switch is in the same boat as 3DS imo

Looking back on it now that the Switch 2 is on the horizon and I've taken a step back from gaming, the Switch generation to me felt really...empty. No game truly blew me away except for maybe Kirby and the Forgotten Land. No 1st party game truly stuck with me in any meaningful way

Genuine question to those buying Mario Kart World. What is it about the open world that not only warrants $20 more but warrants $20 more on top of not being any more graphically impressive than 8 Deluxe, having significantly less tracks than 8 Deluxe, and still having retro tracks despite point 2?

If you're wondering, my pfp is from the manga "Kyoko" by Shoko Ieda and illustrated by Ryoichi Ikegami. Personally I'm not a huge fan of the manga itself but the art is stellar. That is a pattern in a lot of Ikegami's works such as Sanctuary and Mai, The Psychic Girl. Insanely good artist!!

For me there is no greater fear than Metroid becoming a genuine flagship for Nintendo and becoming popular enough that they begin pumping out low quality games and spinoffs between the big AAA main series titles like with Mario or Kirby or Pokemon.
