Progress continues!

For it being Y e a r s since modeling in this style (High-poly/Subsurf), I am very happy with how this model's been turning out! I've still got at least another couple weeks of work ahead of me going at the speed I am currently, but I can't wait to see it finished.

When you build tf2 from the sdk, it's called "Frog Fortress 2" and comes with its own logo. Amazing!

You guys are not ready for this-

A bit more experimenting with a 'vertical slice' test. Both for the style I might be going for + setting in stone how I'll handle texturing with this in mind.

I've got an idea- Looks like I'll go for Customizable Animatronics. I want to try building around this. (Making use of the Detail Mask/textures to allow fine control over your color) I've done this before with toon avatars of mine, but never on a Standard Lite material.

Temptations are high to have another False variant as my next avatar project. It would definitely be more experimental than the last now that I'm poking around with Sculpting.

Wearing them to test how they feel. I genuinely love this. I feel like, if I'm not careful, they may end up replacing Mike as my main sona to some extent.

I had an idea for a much more complex Jester variant that I really wanted to do. I'm also taking this variant as an excuse to poke around with Sculpting again and I've been having a lot of fun with that! (Still pretty work-in-progress of course)

Progress update:

For those of you that didn't notice a few extra variants on the menu there that I haven't announced yet, yes! There are now Alternate texture versions of all the Jester variants along with an ObjectHead and Naga variant of them!

The main purpose of this world is to hold all the Jester variants both I and others make. It's also a way for me to experiment with a much larger world idea this will be a part of.

Working on the bedroom level has pushed me to dive deeper into Unreal. I'm exploring procedural/dynamic sound and music as well as Niagara's VFX capabilities – though I'm keeping my best experiments under wraps for now. Here's one of the effects I played around with today! 😁
