Such a good health journalist @picardonhealth.bsky.social www.theglobeandmail.com/opinion/arti...

Thank you, Ian Ground, for bringing Ramsey under the care of the British Wittgenstein Society. Found the tag: @brittwittsoc.bsky.social

F.P. Ramsey’s grave finally has a refurbished headstone! Thank you British Wittgenstein Society for doing all the work and for allowing me to contribute in a more mundane way.

Some nice events coming up here in Sheffield: 11/3: Warrender Lecture: @leaypi.bsky.social 7/5: Book launch: Luke Ulas, 'Being Cosmopolitan' 28/5: Theory seminar: @stuartgwhite.bsky.social 2/6: Chris Hookway Lecture: @roberttalisse.bsky.social and @cherylmisak.bsky.social

Looking forward to doing my first ever joint talk, with @roberttalisse.bsky.social: the Chris Hookway Memorial Lecture, Sheffield, June 3. If you're in the UK (or from farther afield and loved Chris), do come!

BREAKING: Ontario Premier Doug Ford says they are removing ALL American drinks from the market. The LCBO has a monopoly on drinks distribution in Ontario. Trump just torched $1 billion of US exports. Holy shit.

Just think of all the those over the last 150 years who walked by and admired this tree - Keynes, Ramsey, Wittgenstein, Russell, and even the likes of you and me.

Wise words from the president @uoft.bsky.social www.theglobeandmail.com/business/com...

Vaccines work. Masks work. Lockdowns are sometimes necessary. Access to affordable healthcare/medicines is a human right. Immigrants are generally an asset. Equality/Diversity/Inclusion policies are a good idea. Abortion is sometimes needed to save life. Keep saying these things. Truth is important.

Snowdrops in Berlin today!!!

It's an honour to honour Chris Hookway by giving, with @roberttalisse.bsky.social, the Chris Hookway Memorial Lecture. We'll talk about Pragmatism, Truth, and Politics. Come along if you're in the UK July 2! www.sheffield.ac.uk/hpdh/events/...

The sun sets at 4:19 in Berlin. But at least it’s pretty!

I'm sorry to hear that Robert Paul Wolff has died. He was a strong voice for the left and one of the last of a golden age of Harvard philosophy. I had the pleasure of interviewing him about his teacher C.I. Lewis.

Excellent advice from my friend DB. study.uq.edu.au/stories/dear...

Berlin is full of interesting monuments. This one, however, is just marking a policeman who happened to fall off his horse in the woods.

I’m so glad Aeon found a way to use this picture for my article. It’s of Kathy Wilkes, taken by the secret police. aeon.co/essays/how-a...

At work with @roberttalisse.bsky.social in Berlin. New book on political progress and regress.

Writing a book on truth and politics with @roberttalisse.bsky.social in Berlin. Our only disagreement is about fonts (he’s a courier kind of guy)

Guess where I’m giving a talk.
