I both love and hate this new bracket system. My meme deck is a 1 if the commander was different, my most powerful deck is a 3, and my most hated deck is a 2… Though telling people my Maarika is precon level when it beats a bracket 4, Ghave combo deck feels like peak trolling.

SCG-con Portland was a blast. I got new modern cards, a few favorites signed, and picked up some prints. Talking to the artists is always a blast and getting a Metalworker were highlights. I also got my first dual! So I guess I evolved into a veteran with broken cards after 12 years.

Hello old friend. I missed you. I opened a foil Council’s judgement and did a 1:1 for a Metalworker in 2014. It became one of my signature cards and I used it, Silas, and Akiri to build my favorite commander deck in 2017. Then, returning home after a GP, the deck was stolen and I was devastated.

It’s funny to see peoples’ reaction to Canada doing a push for local as a result of the tariffs. I remember learning about how Canada required a third of television and radio content needed to be Canadian made. Explains why I grew up watching a lot of Martin Mysteries and Ed, Edd, ‘n Eddy.

Looking at #mtg Modern decklists makes me feel like the format is sort of homogenous and not in a bad way. If decks share 12 - 16 cards, it means you can buy the core cards and expand into multiple decks over time. Long story short, I now have pheonix and burn ready to go.

I might be the only person who wants this, but imagine a rework of the dungeon mechanic as races for Aetherdrift. Maybe have a catch-up mechanic for people in 3rd/4th place for commander players. So you get a buff in the lead, but others can try to slipstream off of that.
