I just received a copy of the conference volume on renunciation in the Middle Ages. Massive props to Philipp Winterhager for doing such a brillant job as organiser and editor - it was a pleasure contributing to it! Verzicht is available as OpenAccess: www.herder.de/wissen/shop/...

I am very honored to have been awarded the faculty prize for gender aware research by Kiel University for my PhD on trauma and diaspora after the conquest of Constantinople in 1453. Thanks a lot to everybody who has been there both physically and mentally - you made this day very special to me.

Super dickes Dankeschön an @chillrike.bsky.social, dass ich in Tübingen über trans reading von mittelalterlicher Literatur sprechen durfte! Es war eine tolle Diskussion. 💜🤓

I am beyond excited that Alan Lena van Beek (Salzburg) @thiliel.bsky.social is doing a trans reading of Dietrich von der Glezze @unituebingen.bsky.social tomorrow! Please come and join, if you like!

I am a bit excited to announce that “Eroberte im Mittelalter” (Being Conquered in the Middle Ages) was chosen to also be available as paperback @degruyterbrill.bsky.social - once again, a massive thanks to everyone who was involved in this project.

Looking forward to the conference on multiple (group) affiliations in the Middle Ages organised by Marcel Bubert in Münster this weekend!

Together with Mariana Bodnaruk and Michael Eber I’m organising a conference on „Trans Sainthood in Translation, c. 400-1500“ @ghilondon next May. You can find the CfP below! Please feel free to share with anyone who might be interested (and maybe isn’t on this platform)! 👇👇👇

That was very much fun! Many thanks to Katharina and Margit Mersch for the invitation and everybody who shared sich a nice afternoon and evening with me #rub #mediterraneanhistory

Friendly reminder to participate in our round table discussion at the #IMC2024 @queebees.bsky.social @ Isa Schuerch @ Solveig Marie Wang www.hsozkult.de/event/id/eve...

15 years of equality work at Kiel University – with loads of things achieved and still to go for. Massive thanks to the university’s and faculties’ gender equality teams and their work – and for letting me participate in this for the last years! Looking forward for what is yet to come!

What a ride #phdone and a massive thanks to everybody who rode this journey with me!

Looking forward to the conference of the Brackweder Arbeitskreis in Darmstadt at the end of November. This time, it is all about inscriptions – you can find the conference programme here ➡️ brackwederarbeitskreis.wordpress.com/2023/10/29/2...

Looking forward to this semester’s seminar on the postcolonial Mediterranean @KielUni.

I am very much looking forward to being part of this lecture series of the Mittelalterzentrum Greifswald in January. In the meantime, you might want to check out the other lectures which are (partly) streamed online. ⬇️⬇️⬇️

Still exciting to me: 'Eroberte im Mittelalter' has been released in March 2023 as a printed and electronic version at DeGruyter. Once again: Massive thanks to everyone being involved in the process and who will hopefully join here soon – it was a real pleasure working with you! @phrey.bsky.social
