👑 Jane Fonda with a mic drop "Empathy is not weak or "woke." And, by the way, "woke" just means you give a damn about other people."

the cage of roses experience

"Cage of Roses" by @ebihimes.bsky.social shares a beautiful aesthetic with her earlier visual novel, "Salome's Kiss", but they're very different tonally. "Salome's Kiss" is depressing gothic dark, while "Cage of Roses" can be described as uplifting gothic light. Both worth a read. #VNs #yuri

Rise of the Ronin totally nails petting cats. #PlayStation #RiseoftheRonin #PS5

"TWatW" by @lianyutan.bsky.social brings to mind "The Vampire Chronicles" and "Carmilla" - but uncensored and set in 1920s Singapore. Delightfully dark reading wherein you can pick your own ending. Just check the extensive trigger list beforehand. #booksky #horror #sapphic #vampires

Mizuchi, a yuri take on The Legend of the White Snake, is a slow-burn romance with complex characterization and a rewarding ending, no matter which route you choose. Add beautiful CGs and a contemplative music score and you get one of the best visual novels out there. #visualnovels #yuri

Each of these games has a unique vibe but they are all easy to learn and bring character interactions to the fore. Having already played Golden Sky Stories and Shinobigami, I'm at the end of a Ryuutama campaign and loving it. Japanese role-playing games are great. #ttrpg

Valkyrie Elysium was universally panned upon its release but I love it for its fun combat, beautiful soundtrack, touching background stories of the Einherjar, and Valkyrie's awesome one-liners delivered to her enemies with gusto. #playstation #games

A fun collection of dark vignettes by @yolandasfetsos.bsky.social includes some classic tropes wrapped in sleek storytelling, both wistful and macabre, and a beautiful cover to boot. Favorite stories: "Somewhere to Belong" "The Girls Devoured by the Woods" "Finding Survival" #booksky #horror

🎉 Happy Lunar New Year! 🐍 ✨ We're happy to announce the release of Mizuchi 白蛇心傳 on Nintendo #Switch and #PlayStation 4 & 5 in the US/EU/AUS regions! If you enjoy Asian folklore, food, and diaspora, this sapphic #yuri tale is for you! Thank you for every RT ♥️ 🔗 below

Eggers' "Nosferatu" left me enraptured. It may be an adaptation of an adaptation, but it's still the first cinematic version of "Dracula" that I can fully stand behind. #Nosferatu #horror

It was great to reread "A Summer's End - Hong Kong 1986" by @oracleandbone.bsky.social after three years. Such a hopeful story with beautiful presentation. Looking at the state of the world today, the ending makes for bittersweet reading though. #visualnovels #lgbt

"Heathen" by @alterici.bsky.social is a fresh and heartfelt take on Norse mythology, strangely comforting too. I'd love to read some epilogue showing a few vignettes of the characters' future lives.
