I stand with President Zelenskyy and the people of Ukraine ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ฆ.

Rather sunny in Derry-Londonderry today.

Cutting the foreign aid budget to pay for defence makes the Labour Party no different from the Tories or Reform. Too feart to tax the millionaires and billionaires or the tax-dodging multinationals. Heartless meets spineless.

Marks & Spencer says that theyโ€™re โ€œcelebrating the LGBTQ+ communityโ€, and that โ€œwe only work with suppliers who share our valuesโ€ Yet they continue to support the hate delivered by GB News. Contradictory values = zero values. actionstorm.org/petitions/ma... @stopfundinghate.bsky.social

Is there anyone in the USA that really believes there will be a free and fair Presidential election in 2028?

I seem to recall from my history lessons at school that the Nazis were the bad guys and the world united to defeat them. Clearly, many current world leaders didn't receive the same standard of education. Dividing people into 'us' and 'them' is never going to result in peace and harmony.

If Russia stops fighting, there will be no more war. If Ukraine stops fighting, there will be no more Ukraine.

Refusing citizenship to people because of the way they get here, no matter how desperate or deserving, is a genuinely evil and entirely unforgivable decision.

A wee trip through to Edinburgh this afternoon to visit the amazing Colinton tunnel murals. Artwork by Chris Rutterford based on a poem by Robert Louis Stevenson.

I stand with Canada ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ฆ. The True North strong and free.

Not sure how to take John McGlynn's cunning plan to rule himself out of the Motherwell job, but hope Falkirk can start to put a run of results together soon.

I dare Elon Musk to take a trip to Auschwitz and try his Nazi salute there. Or better still, stop, look, listen, and learn. It's never too late, even for him. #HMD2025 #HolocaustMemorialDay

Today Volodymyr Zelenskyy marks his birthday which he shares with our National Bard, Robert Burns. The President is a great admirer of the work of Burns - so from Scotland to Ukraine, we send solidarity, support and an appreciation of the enduring power of Burns. ๐Ÿด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ณ๓ ฃ๓ ด๓ ฟ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ฆ

Heil to the Chief

Today is Martin Luther King day. Whatever else is going on in the world, I remember these powerful words from MLK. May we be light wherever we are this day and always.

Chose to go to church this morning rather than the Sunday lunchtime kick-off match between Falkirk and Raith Rovers. Seems like I made the correct call. A Bairns defeat at home in the Scottish Cup wasn't on the cards ๐Ÿ˜Ÿ.

Just heard one of the most amazing performances tonight. Geneva Lewis playing the Sibelius Violin Concerto with the SCO in Glasgow City Halls was epic, magnificent and a whole lot of other superlatives too. Such energy, passion and precision. Utterly fantastic!

Not a single Reform MP has bothered to turn up to today's House of Commons debate on tackling violence against women and girls

I would've thought that it might be difficult to replace the leader of RefUK since that leader also owns the company. Tho' I suppose Elmo could always make him an offer he can't refuse โš“๏ธ.

This is so spot-on itโ€™s scary.

He's making a list. He's checking it twice. He's gonna find out whether you've done anything this year that would make him recommend you for an honour from HM the King ๐ŸŽ–. Nope. Oh well, saved me the bother of declining it.

A beer that's mentioned in the Nativity story - well, I'll take that as a sign (perhaps even a decree...) Cheers!๐Ÿบ

The best thing you can ever do is keep on being yourself. You may not be everyoneโ€™s cup of tea, but youโ€™re somebodyโ€™s favorite cocktail. Cheers to all the authentic people out there. #pride

Writing Christmas Cards is a bit of a chore that takes up far too much time. Until I remember that, for every brief moment, I'm thinking about someone who has thought about me when they wrote theirs. Connectedness matters.

What Time Magazine SHOULD have done without a shadow of doubt!

Falkirk losing heavily to Ayr United (5-2) this afternoon is only marginally compensated by the knowledge that we're still top of the SPFL Championship โšฝ๏ธ. We pick ourselves up, dust ourselves down, and go again next Saturday. Hopefully with a better result than today.
