I never did finish my cosplay alphabet and I probably should do that but life is sort of harder than it should be right now and I have sort of lost my balance with it. It’s okay to take a break and recollect yourself. Breaks are necessary to stay strong in the face of those who want you to give up

Earnest post, but: a thing I like here is it’s okay to have moments of happiness in public without being broadly scolded, and I believe that sustaining this kind of humanity will be very important as we resist fascism. We have to sustain each other. Making joy isn’t denial, it’s how we will survive

I know it's rough out there, friends, but don't do anyone else's violence for them. What I mean is: take care of yourself and your community, especially if you're part of a target population. Neglecting care, out of fear, anxiety, or despair, is doing the oppressor's work for them.

If Joann’s closes that means less access to fabrics for me and so many others. I hate buying fabric online without feeling it first or seeing how it drapes. I wish I could save this chain from disappearing.

Support your local library! Libraries are fantastic both for books and now also for things like 3D printers, meet-ups, computers, etc! They can be quiet and a great place to go if you need extra focus time. You can even listen to audio books FOR FREE WITHOUT ADS thanks to your library card. 📚

I may delete Facebook and Instagram. I’ll be sad to see them go but the treatment of people on these platforms is atrocious. I do not agree with the new updated policies and I want to move my pages away from those platforms asap. Why can’t people just be kind? It’s free! It doesn’t hurt!
